Like / dislike?
I love the game but sadly hate the fact that it is dang near impossible to get a complete game in due to the length.

I loved it, but then as a battletech player I perfectly ok with doing a 8 hour gaming session.
My hand full of issues are:
1] the combat system while axis and allie-ish just feels to luck based and cumbersome for the speed at which your can build forces. In the games i've played, combat happens maybe twice per game.
2] it is way to easy to complete certain objectives when compared to others. it made the game feel rushed but long.
3] despite most of the technologies being aimed at combat, its one of the least things you'll do. need more messing with people politically.
that's about it for me. i'm hoping the new expansion will perk up the political and combat elements.
overall, if you have 2 or 3 people who will sit down for a battletech game or axis and allies... its worth it. _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.

I like it,but I get lost with all this cards.
Sometimes it does not seem even more 'a science fiction game, it seems to me rather like a game of magical spells.

Hmmm....I tend to get into combat way more than only twice per game myself, let alone what other players may or may not do. I do tend to be a little on the aggressive side and have noticed many tend to favor the turtle approach.
Shards of the Throne tops my wish list right now. From what I can gather reading about it, there should be some upgraded political aspects.
Favorite Race?

Picked up the second expansion, Shards of the Throne. More races, some nice new optional rules and a first for TI3, scenario.

Sorry for the long time to reply...
Like the new terrian types, especially gravity rifts when combined with the new gravity drive technology card,
The Necro Virus race is in a word "Nasty". They can put all their resources towards ships and troops plus having the advantage of another way to pull command counters if needed. The early tech dirth can be tough, but someone sooner or later is going to leave a single ship or trooper that you can easily grab a tech from then PLUS you have the advantage of cherry picking their techs, so you don't have to spend a ton of time going up the tech tree.
I also like the new L1Z1T race tech for the ability to cherry pick as well. I was fielding some very mean teched out dreadnaughts mid to late game.
Flagships are....interesting...I think it would be best, at least initially, to limit how many new things you add in to get a good feel for them they have not been a real player for me or anyone I have played with yet. _________________ The JadeDragon
