Here's my situation.
Over the summer, due to a miscommunication someone got me a trio of films that were on HD DVD. Not having a player of my own, I eventually opted to list them on Half.com. One of the films was The Last Samurai.
A few weeks back someone bought it.
Earlier tonight I got a message from the buyer stating that they are having trouble watching the film. In particular, the film will play for a few minutes and then freeze. They know it's not the player as other disks worked on it, and there's no damage to the disk; it was brand spankin' new (in fact, the movie was still in the factory shrink wrap). That tells me there's likely some sort of mastering error on the disk.
Anyone ever hear about anything like this?
I'm thinking about going ahead and giving the guy a refund if the disk is, indeed, FUBAR; I just want to know what's going on first.

Sounds like he's had time to rip it and just wants his money back now. You can have him send it back, verify it doesn't work, then send his money. Or if it works send it back and tell him Too Bad!
