								| Type 14 (I still don't have a fitting name) is the latest of my line of cheap universal omni vehicles. I wanted a helicopter cobining speed with some punch, but I also wanted to get closer to current combat helicopters. This is the closest thing that I've managed to do. It's still way too slow and heavy (as the AH-64 or Ka 52 helicopters are able to fly at 350 km/h, weigh less than 10 tons and pack missiles with destructive power and range is barely matched only by heavier thunderbolt missiles)

								| I like where you are going with this omni style setup. The name is fine as it is. I thought you were going for Chinese inspriered naming pattern, since they Type XYZ for a lot of their stuff. _________________

								| Well, the naming pattern was actually nonexistent Jari is named after Japanese spear, which with the original fluff would denote it as a general purpose weapon, which it is.
Swiftfire completely lacks any connection. It's just a highly mobile weapons platform (compared to regular tanks, it kinda looses that edge when compared to the hovercrafts and most other VTOLs).

I was toying with creation of the basic omni vehicles and basing their nomenclature on tonnage. For Type 14 I had in mind the "Devil's Chariot", as the Afghan warriors started to call the Mi-24s during the Russian-Afghan war, but I've failed to locate the translation so far.

Chinese naming pattern is Type XX, where XX is the last numeral of the 19XX year pattern, isn't it?

								| I believe they do use the year, the Japanese use the Type XX naming system as well, but I can not remember if it follows the same pattern as the Chinese or not.
Try doing a Google for stuff about the movie Charlie Wislon's War, it might have what you are looking for.

								| Nice Heli. Concerning tonnage, speed or range just don`t try to compare BT to reality Considering that you made a good job on this one.
A suggestion: In conf. A you can drop two RL's to be able to carry a full foot platoon or two squads of motorized infantry. Or does the two ton cargo bay a special purpose that i'm not aware of in the moment?

								| Well, I wasn't really considering the foot infantry or even motorized. These helicopters are meant to carry a platoon of jump infantry or 4 BAs between a pair of them. _________________

								| Sleeping Dragon, This VTOL has not much armor and could easily be shot down after a few turns so I recommend removing some of the ammo in favor of jet boosters for more speed and to make it harder to hit and armor piercing shells for configuration B. | |

								| Any VTOL can be shot down in a few turns and I didn't make any illusions about that. Ability to survive single clan LL laser hit was the goal. Please note that it's a 14 t dragonfly and not a 25 t eagle. Keep moving and shooting. That's all.
Jet boosters are not tournament legal and maximum to-hit modifiers under normal rules end at 10 hexes per turn. You can pull that off with the VTOL as it is and any reduction in pod-space prevents the configurations from working under tournament-legal rules as well.
