==Overview:==
The death of Superman is one of the few moments in litereary world history that has been remebered by comic book fans for ages. So to see a mech based on one of the most menecing villians, is not a surprise. Though the application is, instead of bristling with weapons this mech makes use of very few.
This mech is something of an enigma. Having shown up on Solaris, it appears to be a true custom mech. In interviews with the Stable owner, Tobia O'Leary, he has let minute details slide about the capabilities of the machine and of some of the mechs history. The mech has been named after the ancient comicbook character DoomsDay, the only character to kill Superman. Visually modeled to resemble Doomsday right down to the working jaw, teeth, long white hair and protusions, the visual appearance of the Doomsday mech is intended to inspire fear in the opposing mech warrior. Several oppnents have confrmed that with all of thier battle experiance seeing the 85 ton behemoth charge out of no where, roar and leap at them have made them take pause and consider backing off. The armor work on the Doomsday is really remarkable, done in such a way to make it look as realistic as possible, the mech infact looks more alive then machine.
==Capabilities:==
Pure and simple this is a inclose brawler. The weapons load is almost an afterthought, and looks to be there only as a way to soften up mechs from a very short range. The biggest surprise of the Doomsday is all of other items found in the mech. Hardened armor covers a reinforced internal structure that makes the machine extremely durable. Though this is offset by a slightly slower top speed, it has been offset by the addition of a Engine Supercharger, and Triple Strength Mynomer. The TSM allows for devastating inclose punches. which is the main attack of the Doomsday mech. Improved Jump jets allow for a much longer jump then anticipated for a 85 ton machine, and has cought many pilots by surprise. The unlikliest piece of electronics is the clan Watchdog system, where it was aquired is unknown at this time but it is assumed that it may have come from the WiE as well as the clan rated 340 XL engine. The Null-Signature system has proven to be devastating for the mech. It does a very sucessful job of hiding the mechs signatureto opposing electronics giving the mech a surprise advantage that is second to none.
==Battle History:==
Having appeared in 6 bouts so far the Doomsday is undefeated. It appears to thrive in confined spaces, which is standard for most Solaris arenas. In the last bout the Doomsday went up against the 20th ranked mechwarrior Victor Vandergriff in a 100 ton Atlas. The match lasted for several minutes as the combatants closed. When the Doomsday quickly accelerated to its top speed of 75km/ph and lept 180 meters to land a pair of devastating blows to the Atlas. As Vandergriff poured fire into the Doomsday he attempted to back away only to find himself backed against the wall. 3 punches lated the battle ended when Doomday punched through the last of the torso armor and in a amazing display of brutality ripped the damaged Gyro out of the stricken Atlas.
