I ran across a mention of these 5 planets when looking over something else. Does anyone have more info? What do you guys think? _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.

I think that they could be detailed in one of the new books. Hot Spots? Conspiracies (hot favourite for this info IMO)? _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

Sigh...these and the hidden factories...
I would hazard a guess that they would either be former Rim World Factory planets, you know the ones Amaris setup to fund and fight the SL prior to the coup. If TPTB aren't using that little nugget from the back story of the game, then I would say they are old SLDF bases somewhere in or around the Hegemony worlds. No telling how many worlds disappeared when the SL fell and the first war ended. _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

sigh... they are actually lost jump ships planets with skewed reality outside of explored space that can be reached only via supercharging the KF drives and jumping within jump and there are even forgotten, but still working and by the original colonists inhabited space superstations within the very solar system... nuff said... bleah _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

Huh?
Would one of them by chance be the planet mentioned in "The Far Country?"
Maybe worlds covered with Dyson spheres?
And how does one jump within a jump?
Not being quantum mechanical, I'm confused.

Been out of the loop for a while. Especially since they started putting everything out in a PDF-only type of way. (I'd subscribe to Battlecorps but I can't afford that much for a 6-month subscription).
What is the Jihad Conspiracies?

just remember that storm is easly confused and you need to talk in small words.
If I can ever get moved in to my new house I will be able to look in one of my books that has tones of map's. I think one might have systems be for the coup. _________________ In to the valley of death rode the 600

Small Words, lack of Internet access for a couple of years, lack of a game store within 100 miles, lack of time, yeah yeah. SO if I seem remedial people, humor me.

Heh, there is no shop dealing with CBT goods in this country. Got to order a few thingies from the states (German prices are terrible). _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

And I look at some of the things available in Europe and think, "Gee, I'd like to be able to order that, but the shipping cost SUCKS!"
Someday I'd like to visit europe, and take along an extra suitcase. I'd go to places like Forge World, places that make bodkin arrowheads (good for atlatl darts) and other things, and load that sucker up! I can see it at customs now.
"No sir, I have nothing to declare. I always travel with boxes of unopened models, just in case I get bored."
As for there not being a shop. . . . sounds like a Dragon's Business Opportunity.

Sleeping Dragon, I'm fairly serious on this one: If there's no store around, is there a demand for one? What sort of games do people play?
I know a few people who got tired of paying the costs and opened their own shop. From what I've observed, the key to success in a game store is to run it like a business.
Too many times I've seen the owners use the store as their own personal "fort" or "den," and provide lousy service. Other times I've seen owners who had the drive to run it like a business, but lacked the know-how.
I watched one guy (who runs one of my favorite stores. I'll drive an hour and a half to go to it), who started in his garage, and when someone asked if he could order something, he hunted it down and ordered it. If someone asked if he could carry something, he did. He eventually grew it into a profitable business.
I'm convinced the only way to get ahead in this world is to be a business owner/investor. It's how to do it that's stumping me.
OK, I'll get off my soapbox now.
