Playoff scenarios

AFC East
Miami (10-5) makes the post-season with a win on the road against the New York Jets.
The Jets (9-6) make the playoffs with a victory at home against the Dolphins, plus either a Patriots loss at Buffalo or a Ravens loss to the Jaguars.
The Patriots (10-5) make the playoffs with a win against the Bills and either a New York win over Miami — which would win them the division — or a Baltimore loss to Jacksonville.
Eliminated: Buffalo

AFC North
Pittsburgh (11-4) has clinched the division title.
Baltimore (10-5) is in with a win at home against Jacksonville. The Ravens can also lose and clinch if the Jets beat the Dolphins and the Patriots lose to the Bills.
Eliminated: Cleveland, Cincinnati

AFC South
Tennessee (13-2) has clinched the division, plus home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Indianapolis (11-4) has clinched a wild card berth.
Eliminated: Houston, Jacksonville

AFC West
Denver (8-7) wins the division if the Broncos beat San Diego on the road next Sunday.
The Chargers (7-8) win the division if they beat the Broncos at home on Sunday. Drama!
Eliminated: Oakland, Kansas City

NFC East
The New York Giants (12-3) have clinched the division and, after Sunday night's 34-28 win over Carolina, home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Dallas (9-6) takes a wild card with a win over Philadelphia next week. Dallas could also lose and clinch with a loss from Tampa Bay, and a loss this Monday or next Sunday by Chicago.
Philadelphia (8-6-1) can nab a wild card with a win over Dallas at home, plus the same combination of losses the Cowboys would need if they lose (see above).
Eliminated: Washington

NFC North
Minnesota (9-6) can clinch the division with a win at home over the New York Giants plus losses this week and next by Chicago. They can also lose to the Giants and win the division if the Bears lose only one of their remaining games.
The Bears (8-6) can clinch the North with wins this week against Green Bay and next against Houston, and a Vikings loss to the Giants.
Eliminated: Green Bay, Detroit

NFC South
The Carolina Panthers (11-4) have clinched a playoff spot, but, following Sunday night's loss to the Giants, not the division or a first round bye. They clinch the division and the bye with a win at New Orleans next weekend.
The Atlanta Falcons (10-5) have also secured at least a wild card berth, but with a win at home against St. Louis and a Carolina loss, they win the division and the bye.
Tampa Bay (9-6) can take the last wild card spot with a win over Oakland at home, plus a Dallas loss to Philadelphia.
Eliminated: New Orleans

NFC West
The Arizona Cardinals (8-7) have clinched the worst division in football.
Eliminated: St Louis, San Francisco, Seattle

GO DOLPHINS!!! From 1-15 to; at worst, 10-6 and at best 11-5 and a division title. What a great turnaround!

Do you think next year after Detroit goes 0-16, they'll be a divisional winner???

Doubt it. I don't think Miami is as good as their record this year, but if two 8-8 teams may get in the playoffs, we sure as hell deserve to. Also, I don't think Miami was as bad as their 1-15 record of last year either. Records can be misleading.
