Okay, in the FAQ it says I can check the possible BBCode tags from the posting page, yet I can't find the link anywheres anymore. I thought I remembered it being the word BBCode on the posting page, where it says BBCode is On. But that could be from another site. Anywho, just wondering if this is an oversight/mistake or if I'm missing it. If it's missing I'll report it to the ERS.

I think it means you can see what possible tags are there when posting. Which you can, as they are above the post. Hovering over the post will bring up help regarding the particular BBCode tag. So there may have been a link on the old site, but it is no longer needed here.

Except to lookup tags you don't know, which is what I wanted Smile
As in, I know what I want done, but can't remember what the tag for it is.

I was looking for the tag for preformatted text, but since I couldn't find it and the code tags also keep original formatting I just used those (I tried [pre] [/pre]). You definitely need a page listing your BB tags and what they do, especially if you implement custom ones. Clown

Well, feel free to put a ticket in and I'll see if I can dig something up. But I doubt I'll ever add custom ones, though you never know. Smile

The tag is (code)(/code)...using [ ] instead of ( )

I'm sorry I misread your post...after all, why would someone want the tag for preformatted text if they didn't want to keep the text preformatted.

Grin, what I was referring to as the pre tag was something Vagabond mentioned in the design submission forums on the previous site setup. I was sure it was pre and /pre, but maybe this was an old tag in that version of phpBB that isn't in this version or something. Smile

Either way, the code tag does the same thing, so its all good. I just remembered it because Vagabond requested in the design submissions that all HMPro text outputs posted there be encapsulated so that it preserves their formatting, which is a great idea.

the tag still works, but the result is ugly as... , especially with output from HMPro and other such stuff

You only need to use < and > because it's a HTML tag.
