==Overview:==
The Hussar APC was part of the same collaboration that produced the Puma MBT.
This armored personnel carrier was built to keep up with the Puma MBT and can
carry two squads along with some light support weapons, of troops. The vehicle
is not heavily armed, its turret has two lasers which are there for ranged
targets and two short ranged missiles launchers to hopefully keep targets away
from them. It is a fast enough and its' firepower is not in the weapons it
carries but with its' dismounts, which is its' main purpose, transport the
soldiers to the battlefield, provide covering fire and then rush into withdraw
them as needed.
Typical setup for using the Hussar/Puma team is for a lance of four Pumas
being supported by 6 Hussars. Or if the fight is expect to be expected to be
in close quaters the number of Hussars are expanded to 8.

Does look good at first glance but against what would it use its weapons?
If closing to weapons range the light armor and slow speed would doom it in no time! _________________ Reality is where the Pizza-man comes from!'Gucken, petzen, verpissen!' True, but since it has support from the Puma MBTs that are there it should do okay, it's not going to stand and fight, drop and run is its' main function. The infantry squads are the ones who will do the fighting. This is an APC not a tank. _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

If you think the Puma MBT will concentrate all (!) enemy fire on it i rather would take LRMs instead of the SRMs. Staying near the MBT and supporting him with SRMs would be very dangerous nevertheless as a single large laser or two mediums will kill it. _________________ Reality is where the Pizza-man comes from!'Gucken, petzen, verpissen!' The Puma can't protect this IMO. A commander that will get a clear shot on full APC will try to kill it. The armor is really too thin, but I think that there is an easy thing to do to improve that. RLs have better range than SRMs while having almost the same firepower and slightly worse accuracy. And they're much lighter. I would try to get at least 10 points of armor to the front, it can be done just by removing the small laser, but the SRMs are really too heavy for this and if something gets a clear shot on you then you're a toast with most of your ammo still on board. That's why I would prefer the RLs, which may be inferior, but they can be fired all at once or one by one and thus providing the vehicle with more flexible firepower and eliminating the risk of being left with full ammo bins.
There is the possibility of eliminating one of the SRMs as well (or using a SRM-6), but for me the LRM-5 (possibly augmented with artemis), or dual MML-3 would be better choice, because they would allow indirect long range firepower that the infantry may call wherever they are without having the vehicle sitting right behind them. Third choice may be the MRM-10 which offers better range while still saving one ton to play with. As I'm thinking about it a variant with single LRM-5/SRM-4 no small laser one ton of armor and an AMS may also be interesting.
If you're using lvl3 (or advanced) rules it would be a good idea to split the ammo bin to two, 0.5 ton - 12 shots, or four, 0.25 ton - 6 shots, to include special munitions that are available for LRMs or SRMs. Having the ability to create smoke screens, fires or minefields (or to fire the frag rounds) may be handy. _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!
