This is something that I had the idea for but I don't know how the rules would take it.
For those that don't remember, there's a Clan fighter known as the Khirgiz which, as one of its alt modes, can carry a point of Elementals.
Well, I had the idea to take such a concept to its most absurd conclusion: The Flying Hippo.
The Flying Hippo would be a heavy aerospace fighter that was designed to haul light mechs and tanks; the idea behind this is that the Hippo would be able to fly parts, equipment, and reinforcements to and from the battlefield. The idea behind this is that air travel is usually quicker than ground travel, so it only makes sense to take advantage of this if possible.
So - how does the idea sound? _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." Wolfwood to a random cat (Trigun)

Wait I will say before someone else does, you could build this (noting here the scarism) with the SUV rules from Combat equipment guide...
But seriously something like you are talking about SHOULD be do able under the AT2r rules but again it may not...
One rule set for like items would be better...all vehicles, combat or support/civilian in one rule set, all aerospace and other related craft, i.e. spaceships, dropships etc...all in one rule again covering military and support/civilian. Same for mechs etc...okay I will come out of the dream world of forward thinking on this issues.
I do like the idea you have in mind though. _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato
