After much work, nearly 3 hours, i have completed this little wounder of conversion.
i dedicate it to Alexander.
BattleTech Vehicle Technical Readout
VALIDATED
Type/Model: Kitsune LAV-26
Tech: Inner Sphere / 3067
Config: Wheeled Vehicle
Rules: Level 3, Custom design
Mass: 20 tons
Power Plant: 80 GM I.C.E.
Cruise Speed: 54.0 km/h
Maximum Speed: 86.4 km/h
Armor Type: StarSlab/1 Standard
Armament:
1 GM MiniGun Machine Gun
2 GM AutoLauncher Grenade Launchers
1 GM-Mydron ChainGun Light AC/2
Manufacturer: General Motors
Location: Salem
Communications System: LongCom
Targeting & Tracking System: OptiTrack Techniques
==Overview:==
Shortly after the break out of the FedCom Civil War the demand for combat
support vehicles skyrocketed. Hundreds of stock piled APCs and IFVs where
pressed into service and thru combat suffered horrendous losses as targets
opportunity for mech and armored units. In response General Motors on Salem
are famous for the Wheeled APCs began designing a third generation Light At
Vehicle capable of Moving and Supporting infantry units. Using long learned
lessons they designed a multi-wheeled multi-terrain ISV/IMV [Infantry Suppo
Vehicle/Infantry Movement Vehicle] with a price tag of about 250,000.
==Capabilities:==
Designed to fight and support infantry the LAV-26 has very minimal armor
protection when compared to tanks and mechs. Each angle has just enough arm
to stop a Class 5 Auto-Cannon Attack with the front and sides only slightly
more protection. This is one of the only draw backs of this otherwise great
design, but can be worked around by adding a proper escort. If un-escorted
LAV can use its speed to attempt to avoid a majority of units.
The engine is of a proven design and capable of powering the LAV-26 to near
kph on paved surfaces and a good 86 kph on flat open terrain. In addition t
this the design can be sealed in a matter of seconds and then travel across
calm to moderately choppy water. This amphibious feature allows it to swim
across rivers, ponds, lakes, and even the shallows along ocean beaches maki
it useful in more areas then most other vehicles of its roll.
To accomplish its mission as a ISV/IMV the LAV-26 is equipped with a turre
mounted Class 2 Light Auto-Cannon and Co-axial Machine Gun each capable of
devastating opposing infantry squads. In reserve are two turret mounted one
shot grenade launchers usually equipped with smoke or fragmentary grenades
can be fired by commander/gunner. In addition to the turret mounted armamen
there is a copula mounted 5.56mm light support machine gun and an internal
infantry bay able to hold up to seven foot infantry soldiers.
In addition to its low price tag, the LAV-26 is very simple, versatile, and
compact. The LAV-26 is simple to repair, maintain, and re-arm, which can be
done by even the least experienced technician. And with a gross weight of 2
tons and a total length of only 7 meters the LAV-26 can fit in almost all
military transports. These aspects make it perfect for the front line unit
much as militia. Whether it's racing across the tundra, clawing its way thr
the mountains, or cruising down the streets of villages and cities the LAV-
is quickly becoming the favored vehicle of units thru ought the Inner Spher
==Variants:==
Several variants remove the Class 2 Light Auto-Cannon in favor of LRMs, SRM
MRMs, and RLs.
One variant the LAV-26R replaces the Class 2 Light Auto-Cannon with a Mediu
Laser and a second Co-axial Machine Gun with addition ammo for both Machine
Guns.

Finally! A vehicle worthy of my nickname! I'd been trying to design a Fox tank for a long time...I'm truly impressed. This is a nice little vehicle, and I'm going to begin adding it to my support units. (Though most likely it will be a Level 2-ish version. SRM/Laser anyone? lol) You've done it again VB.
Hail Vagabond!

I like it. It seems kinda like the Coyote, but stripped of it's recce gear. If you put a infantry section in the back, it'd be the LAV 3 that we have as our newest APC, (and, which the Americans are buying in the 1000s as well.)

its a mix between the LAV-25 Recon and LAV III.
and it does have a infantry bay, just enough space for 7 guys. 0.75 tons per foot squad.
i did about 3 hrs of research and web surfing to get enough info on the Coyote and LAV III to create this. Shoot, even the builder is the same as the LAV III. lol.
your talk about the turret and gun got me thinkin, so i did somethin.

Sit a good vehicle...I had the chance to use it back around Christmas time. It did really well. _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

Just as a note, the fluff text seems to get clipped at the edge of every line, Vagabond. _________________ Jarylan Blackwell
