==Overview:==
The Bosbok Recon Car enter service as part of a regional defense force build
up in during the collaspe of the 2nd Vondor Imperium, a memeber nation state
of the Co-Alliance, and the ousting of Fanstal the Third. This happened
during the current war with the Karagin and their massive leap frog invasion
waves. The lost of major key worlds caused the Imperium to falter on the
battlefield has world after world rushed to defend it self and in doing so
caused many units to get conflicting orders or no orders at all.
The aftermath was a coup on the Vondor homeworld and a counter-coup all with a
four to six time day time frame. Followed by a armimist with the Karagin.
The Bosbok was seen in use by the newly formed Imperium Rangers and Junner
Brigades. Both of which are setup as light to medium raider/scout brigades.
These units are tasked with landings on target planets to conduct harassment
raids and attacks all in support over a larger invasion force.
The twin medium lasers are it's main weapons of defense and offense. The
electronic package that the Bosbok carries is setup to seek out the enemy and
to mask itself at the same time. Dual countermeasure are inplace to help
ensure that.
With this vehicle just entering active service with the Imperium, it's high
tech electronics are seen as one step for the Imperium to reach the same
playing field as it's fellow members of the Co-Alliance as well as to give to
the Karagin a surprise or two when the next war breaks out.

Funny, I am working on a new recon vehcile also.
Price is right for this one. ML are more for defense. But the wheeled and speed make it a little vunerable. I see it as a long range quite and behind the lines info gathering than front line recon, like the swiftwind.

Thanks. I tried to go for something that didn't seem to over the top and yet still had the recon feel to it. _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

Not bad, but the ECM suites would use some explanation (ECM and ECCM use is obvious, but it's still uncommon to see two ECMs on one unit... well the rules say it's not allowed - p. 136 BMR revised, but this may no longer be actual with new rules). _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

You may want to look at MaxTech and the counter ECM rules there... _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

I don't see that in his posting, I see him telling us that BMR-R says it can't be done then he states well the new rules might say other wise...so what is he saying then? _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

He mentioned ECCM (from MaxTech) but he also mentioned that BMR doesn't allow to mount 2 Guardian ECM (And MaxTech doesn't allow it either! It only calles for ECM or ECCM modus for a single Guardian ECM in a given unit.)
EDIT:
And with Sleeping Dragon wrote: | Not bad, but the ECM suites would use some explanation ... | he wants to say that you can even mount 2 Guardian ECM as long as you "fluff " the rules "away" _________________ Reality is where the Pizza-man comes from!'Gucken, petzen, verpissen!' Fluffing it away would be great...but folks ignore fluff 99% of the time... _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

At least Mordel's is a "fluff-heavy" environment!
Maybe you can convince your players too! _________________ Reality is where the Pizza-man comes from!'Gucken, petzen, verpissen!' Maybe that I should create an oracle with cryptic answers to all questions. With Rudel's (correct) explanations it would be a good source of money on BT stuff
I wonder why bother with fluff at all when noone reads it... well we read it, and it's pretty good _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!
