With the rewrite of rules it definately changes the value of some mechs.
Basically AMS actually adds value rather than taking away. Which means the Archer variants I've got on the site in the 70 ton Custom zone actually got more useful these days.
Also it changes the value of a lot of the more fragile light mechs and the value of Missile boats. Will this cause you to radically change your rating and what you use on the field with the AMS imposing a -4 to enemy missile hit table rolls. Will this mean that your light mechs all carry AMS now to try and weather those inevitable lucky tags with missile racks?
I'm putting this in the design submissions forum despite the fact it impacts across multiple.

nooooooooooo
Well it depends. I really need to look the rules over but AMS is going up drastically in my mind as a useful piece of equipment and, if most follow this path, pure missile boats will be going down.
Which is, I bet, the reason they made the multiple type missile launcher. Missiles are needed (especially for indirect fire) but having to dedicate that much tonnage to an indirect weapon would hurt if its effectiveness was totally wiped away.
