This may seem like an odd question, but I need to ask it anyway.
Over the past few weeks, I've been having some rather odd dreams. From time to time, they'll be so bizarre or wierd that I'll actually wake up in the middle of the night.
At the same time, I've also had a number of frustrations in the real world, including college and my current hunt for a job. These frustrations have taken up so much of my time that I haven't been able to devote as much time to my hobbies - especially my writing - as I've been wanting to.
Is it possible that the two - my odd dreams and my real world frustrations - are related?
Thanks.

studies show a high correlation between day activities and dream states. Now i cannot say with any quotable certainty that your dreams are a result of your present life situation; however, i can say that my opinion is yes.
Sleeping and dreams are not an unconscious state but are instead another state of consciousness. In this state your brain still work and operates. In addition, the brain as the central control will always do its best to return you to a balanced state of being. It is not perfect and will over correct sometimes but thats neither here nor there. Since stress is another form of stimulus that has a negative effect on ones body the brain reacts. In this case and in my opinion, it is providing you with images and mental situations that are known to have a relaxing effect on your body. So while you dream your brain recreates that mental state which in turn release chemicals into your blood stream much likes those encountered while you pursue your hobbies. remember [and this is a psychological law] your brain does not know or react any different to neurological commands while you sleep. this is why our body releases muscle inhibitors that shut down our active muscles while we sleep or we would run, jump, and punch everything while in bed.
these dreams are IMHO your bodies way of relaxing during this stressful time and are your bodies way of saying you need to relax and relieve some stress. unless these dreams are disturbing you enjoy them as much as you can.
This has been you few minutes with Dr. Stanford and please call again. <-- not really but one day!!!
