 HorhiroCon II Saturday July 22nd
Classic Battletech: Fourth Succession War: Davion vs. Liao.
Bring any Medium Level 1 Inner Sphere OFFICIAL Mech sheet 3025 era (including 2750 mechs with Level 1 designs). Adjust pilot/gunnery skills to a Battle Value of 1100. Standard ammo only (including inferno) BRING 3 COPIES of Mechsheet.

A numbered chart was first created to match pairs of players against each other. Players will then be randomly assigned numbers and split into 2 teams: Liao and Davion. The House that wins the most battles will win the war!

9 total battles will be fought in 3 rounds (75 minutes maximum time per round).Winning the battle will be determined by the following: 1. destroying/crippling both opponents’ mechs and still having at least 1 functioning mech. 2. If equal losses on both sides than team that suffered the most damage will lose. 3. Close calls on battles that are very evenly fought will be decided by committee (me!).

In Round 1 House Liao will defend (Picking map and map side to defend). In Round 2 House Davion will defend (Picking map and map side to defend). In Round 3 there will be a random determination of defenders.

The 6 possible Maps for the 3 defending team pairs to choose from, each round, will be:
Heavy Forest #1, Woodland, River Valley, Battleforce 2, Rolling Hills #1, & Wide River

 House Liao Players: # 1,2,3 4,5,6
 House Davion Players: #7,8,9,10,11,12

 Round 1:
 1/2 v 7/8
 3/4 v 9/10
 5/6 v 11/12

 Round 2:
 1/3 v 10/12
 2/5 v 7/9
 5/6 v 8/ll

 Round 3:
 1/5 v 8/9
 2/4 v 10/11
 3/6 v 7/12

 Classic Battletech: Tombstone
This battle will be a grand melee. Bring any Level 1 or 2 Inner Sphere OFFICIAL Mech sheet (any era). Adjust pilot/gunnery skills to a Battle Value of 1200.

Following weapons/equipment not allowed: Medium and Large Pulse Lasers, AC20, Ultra AC20, LB20x, All Guass Rifles, ER PPC, Arrow IV, Swarm Ammo, Armor Piercing AC ammo, and Targeting computer, & Thunder munitions.

Battle will take place on 4 connected cratered moonscape maps, with normal atmosphere and gravity. Initiative will be drawn secretly so you know when your turn is coming up but not the turns of other players. Fire declaration will be done secretly. Winner will be last mech functioning! (Or mech in the best shape if time slot runs out.)

Classic Battletech: The Dragon’s Fury: Fire and Smoke
It’s 3069, The Jihad has erupted, and Theodore Kurita lies in a coma. In this time of chaos the Black Dragons strike at Luthien to seize control of the Combine. When the Blakists arrive to help, the question remains….help who? This will be a three team battle, on a cityscape map. Mechs provided. Last team with functioning mechs wins!

								| Good question!
Well I'll definately make some cheesy certificates on the computer!

I don't forsee making a cool award like the one Chandra made for mechtrap.

I do have an extra copy of "CamoSpecs", perhaps it will go to the winner of the Grand Melee!

Seeing how you're a bigwig at BattleCorps, maybe you could get us some stuff!

I think you killed at least 1/2 the level 2 mechs right there.

There are still a rediculous number of mechs to choose from, and we will be able to test the true mettle of the mechwarriors without the cheese (guass, ultra 20, TC) and the really big guns. Should make for a very interesting game, without half the mechs getting destroyed in the first round!

I wouldn\'t really qualify IS pulses as cheese. Clan yes, IS no. The extra weight, heat, & short range offset the hit bonus I think. But that\'s just a personal opinion, and I\'m sure we don\'t want to get into one of those discussions on this thread.
In which case... on with the party already! | |

								| Sounds like a blast. To bad I'm overseas still, though I'm heading back to the states this summer sometime, and I may even end up in that neck of the woods.
Have fun, and be sure to notate all the good stuff so you can all trash talk here afterwards so everyone can enjoy the games.
