Doesn't it figure? Where else would a cop be?

Oh my I hope that there is some kind of reward or comendation for the citizen who found it and did what he had to to insure the gun was safely returned.

So my question is a VERY SIMPLE ONE:

WHY DIDN'T the guy CALL THE FREAKIN' POLICE IMMEDIATELY?????

Hello? Why drive 13 miles and then drop it in a mailbox?

I wish that guy had gotten caught with a police gun whiledoing sometihng stupid like speeding or running a red light.

For a free gun is something no criminal can resist...no waiting period!

Ouch, I pity men who get caught with police issue weapons. You get caught with police issue equipment, and they will nail you to the wall, becasue there is only one way you get those: You killed a cop and took his gun, or you stole the gun.

Last time I checked, its perfectly legal to own/buy (and fairly easy to get) a Glock, Tazer, Handcuffs, or Pepper Spray. Hell, you can even own a Berreta or a Colt.

True Delta, but the serial numbers are registered to the police officer. It's those that they check into to see the past history of said firearm. If the gun you have comes up as issued to an officer of the law it can be bad for you.
