A light picket for larger ships (like the Aegis, Black Lion, etc).
It's small, fast (for a warship), and quite cheap.
Comments/criticsm are always appreciated.

Ah yes, a picket ship. They tend to be gigantic dropships with naval firepower added in.
Its quite cheap and portable. I like.

See this is what drives me crazy. The price on this is the same as a 555 ton naval vessel. It is a perfect example of how certin parts of the universe are a bit more flawed then others.
Grear ship by the way.

I like my light ships to move faster, but besides that this is great. I like the idea of a WarShip picket for a larger ship, it works out better than a DropShip would.

That's what happens when you try to pack in a large XXL engine. I have a 150 million c-bill assault Omni, all because of the XXL. It's really totally insane. You might want to try vessels 400 tons or lighter. The presence of a normal engine, instead of a large one, will give you a more decent price, even if you use an XL or XXL. And you won't lose much tonnage, since large engines get too big too fast - even the XXLs - to be of any real use at all, anywhere.

I agree, the Large Engines gain weight on a much much higher curve than normal ones. And in BT any naval asset should be small and fast. Otherwise they die. Or be a sub, which is mostly what I use. Only other thing I used was a 400 ton LB 2-X carrier that also sported a quad of Arrow IV launchers with 15 missiles each she was slow, but looooooong ranged.

If you like to construct (Wet) Naval Vehicles above 300 tons don´t use the BMR or MaxTech-rules but get your hands on Combat Equipment!
Examples:
Königsberg Light Cruiser 7500 tons
Move 4/6
Armorfactor 460
9 AC/10
6 AC/5
8 MC
12 LRT-20
Admiral Hipper Heavy Cruiser 18000 tons
Move 4/6
Armorfactor 984
8 Thumper Artillery
12 AC/5
12 MC
12 LRT-20
Helipad with 3 VTOL´s
Tirpitz Battleship 50000 tons
Move 3/5
Armorfactor 2587
8 Long Tom Artillery
12 AC/10
16 AC/5
16 MC
8 LRT-20
Helipad with 6 VTOL´s

If you're talking about the Support Vehicle rules, Rick says that's going to get its' own program: HeavyMetal Support/Utility Vehicle (SUV).
It's planned, but I don't think it's been started yet.

I thought naval vessels were gonna stay in HM Vee and just be able to use the CE rules. But if they go into HM SUV I don't really care since I'll get that too

You can add some of the stuff in via the weapons editor deal in all of the HM products...just wish Rick had gone with unlimited space for the custom weapons.

"Sure, Bill!"
