Ya know I have always liked the looks of this mech, there is just a menace to the way it looks.
Now for the but.
11 tons of armor on a assult mech is unacceptable!
Well here is the rework. I hope everyone likes it let me know what you think.

==Overview:==
Similar in shape to the Star League King Crab, the Cerberus is the
product of more than a year's worth of engineering efforts by LexaTech's
designers. Flattened thin, its profile makes it difficult to target compared
to other assault 'Mechs. The Cerberus's legs and lower torso resemble those of
a Vulture, providing a strong and steady firing platform. Its firepower has
made it a formidable opponent against both Clan and Inner Sphere foes.
Initially thought of as a superior machine it soon became apparant that
the Cerberus, was under armored for the battlefield. this became most apparent
when several were lost by the WoB forces to Davion forces retaking the world
Rentz.
In late 3063 under the guise of a commercial drop ship the WoB forces
took several key water planets in the davion border. With these newly captured
worlds they quickly brought in a haeavy garrison and fortified the plantes.
Unable to get valuable water to the companies and planets that needed it a
massive campaign was launched and after heavy fighting the worlds were
recaptured. Many of the captured and destroyed machines were either sent into
active units or repaired and sent for analysis. The MR-5M was one of the many
mechs taken From here the reserchers at NAIS went about improving the design
and after refitting a couple of them the design seemed so solid that it has
been rushed into production.
==Capabilities:==
For the most part the design has changed little. Initially mounting Ferro
Fibrous the designers decided that 18.5 tons of standard armor would be
perfect for the machine. Endo Steel was used to free up tonnage in the
Cerberus. Though the design team didnt like it, they kept the XL engine. the 4
medium pulse were removed for 4 standard medium lasers. Initially this was
going to be 4 Er Med lasers. but a shipment error caused the wrong lasers to
be sent to the team. As they waited for the new lasers to arrive they decided
to test the standard lasers. The mechwarriors love the medium lasers, and with
the ability to fire everything at once and still move at top speed was a huge
bonus in thier eyes. After changeing them out when the new ones arrived the
design team had the choice of keeping teh ER or sticking with the tried and
true standard medium lasers. The Standard medium lasers won out (mostly due to
mechwarrior complaning). The Anti missile system was kept but had the ammo
feeds beefed up for longer life on teh battlefield.
==Variants:==
With the reception this version has recieved so far it appears that the FS may
recall all of thier Cerberus and refit them to this specifications. Its hoped
that the change will allow the Cerberus to becomea bit of a surprise on the
battlefield and even become a respectable assault mech again.
==Deployment==
The first run of Cerberuses has already been distributed throughout the
Inner Sphere, and more are on the way. This powerful new design will easily
become a front-line favorite.
