| I was just re-reading Blood Legacy and during Phelans trail of posistion Vlad Gladiator was described. It said that it had 2 gauss rifles, 2 llasr, and 2 mlasr. In order to free up that tonnage he would have to remove the MASC and Jjets. Is this even considered a Gladiator?

Not properly, no. The MASC and jump jets are fixed equipment and can't be removed as part of outfitting this omnimech.
I'm sure the great leader can order a mech built just for himself, though.

Order? As I recall, Vlad had a very abrasive personality. He would beat down anyone who would deny him what he wanted. And he would only do it officially if it were a warrior caste member he was beating down. All other castes were beneath his notice.

Perhaps it's just an error on the writer's part? A Gladiator could easily carry ONE Gauss, two ER larges and two ER meds.

The writer may not have known what was allowed because Vlad`s mech definetly had two Gauss and the power drain that caused the lasers to fire later was what phalen used to his advantage in the fight. So it hinged on the Gladioter having two Gauss
