As always tell me what you think.

Battle Mech Technical Readout

Type/Model: BattleMaster IIC custom
Tech: Clan / 3067
Config: Biped Battle Mech
Rules: Level 2, Standard design

Mass: 85 tons
Chassis: Earthwerk BLR Standard
Power Plant: 255 Magna Fusion
Walking Speed: 32.4 km/h
Maximum Speed: 54.0 km/h
Jump Jets: None
Jump Capacity: 0 meters
Armor Type: Durallex Heavy Standard
Armament:
2 ER PPCs
8 ER Medium Lasers
2 Streak SRM 4s
Manufacturer: Earthwerks Incorporated
Location: Keystone
Communications System: Barret Party Line-200
Targeting & Tracking System: Wasat Watchdog W100

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==Overview:==
Though produced in only moderate numbers at three factories, the
BattleMaster is a relatively common sight because of its durability and
versatility. The design is tough enough to withstand great punishment and
valuable enough to make it worthwhile for Techs to go to great lengths to
patch together a crippled BattleMaster. In addition to the standard design,
Successor State armies deploy small numbers of Battle Masters in three other
variations, with more showing up everyday. And now it seems that several have
been pulled from various battlefields and traded for by the Wolves in Exile.
8 of the formidable Battlemasters have shown up in various units for the
WiE, and if our intelligence is correct the new Battlemasters are going to be
a huge surprise for the unfortunate warriors they run across.

==Capabilities:==
Khan Phelan Kell has been working very hard at rebuilding the strength of the
WiE now for a while. One of the mechs that the warriors showed approval for
was the BattleMaster. Since he had the ability to trade for and acquire 8 of
them in various stages of repair he did so. One of the first things they did
was to strip our all of the weapons and really start from scratch. A Pair of
Clan ER PPC's are now housed in the Gun of the BattleMaster. The machine guns
and lasers were replaced with 8 of the clan ER medium lasers. and the old SRM
system was replaced with a pair of SSRM 4's. A Targeting Computer was added to
the Mech. But the biggest improvement was with Heat dissipation. 23 double
strength freezers were added to help keep the BattleMaster cool. Now warriors
are cautioned not to let loose with everything at once (unless its a killing
blow) but they can mix and match fire for a very deadly barrage.

Speed downgrade on mech that originally was so popular because of it's mobility

Weapons are something like Black Hawk prime and A cramped together (nothing to play with) with some SRMs and deadly TC.

Ouch! The firepower is nice on a glance, but I realised theres no way in hell that you could get anywhere near enough HS on it. Granted, your 24 heat off (ow), means that you have too many guns. A killing blow would mean that you would have a good chance of powering down and letting someone else deliver the killing blow.

That and the fact you can fry eggs in your cockpit whenever you alpha strike.

I suggest dropping 2 ER Mediums and adding sinks. You're overheat will only be 10 then.

Apparently it's designed to switch to lasers and SRMs when it gets to range PPCs should make holes as they crawl around and than you just fire 8 lasers and two crit. seekers to widen them or just concentrate laser fire on weakened spot and crit. seekers to follow.

Blackhand is bracket-fighter, I'm either picky or fire the weapons as the mood currently strikes me (and heat sinks allow), so sometimes I make slightly over gunned designs to have more choices (maybe can be useful for taunting opponent , because loosing some weapons doesn't hurt that much )

The firepower and heatsinks are great, and the TC is a nice touch. But I don't think that the loss of speed is acceptable for the BattleMaster. Other than that, the only complaint is the PPC placement; I don't like the idea of having the PPCs in the same location. It's too easy to lose them both at the same time.

This would be explained by the picture of original BLR (two barrel big gun), but I must agree with this.

If you want to stay with standard engine than drop second PPC and some weapons / heat sinks. PPC on BLR was there just to harass the enemy until it closes and then it usually opened with brutal short range barrages an closed to melee when the opportunity arises. Clans wouldn't normally resort to physicals, but if the IS ... forced them
