As Maxtech states. It is possible as long as gamers agree to mix and match level three rules into thier games. So what do you guys prefer to use (or would like to use) in the games you play?

I personally like the glancing blows rule. As the realism and the image i get in my head of shells and gauss rounds clipping off mechs works very well.

The other rule i like is being able to create the Supertanks. Trying to take down a pair of 200-300 tonne tanks with a Lance of heavies is a really interesting fight.

So what about you.....?

Floating criticals. Everyone agrees on those.

Someone asking to use extended movement modifiers while fielding mechs like the Dasher will have to give me something in return. Improved vehicle survival, for example.

If you read the rules sprinting while in combat is usually dumb anyway...

Floating Crits, and the rapid-fire machine guns. However, only one guy I've played with took advantage of the MGS, and I've never seen a Piranah explode that spectacularly!

O man I do not think I can even list them.

Most are from the Vehicle and Infantry sections of Max Tech. A lot of the special armor and advanced weapons no. Since I GM so much I like using a lot of the special enviorment rules, makes it intersting.
I tell the players which ones are in effect so they are ready.

AWAD- .7G world, Dusk, in a Jungle...... slows it down but man is it a last for the GM

Its rather prohibitive to me. I was aware it was quite a dumb rule...

I think that spriting is a dumb not only because of its modifiers and other problems, but the fact that you can push a burst of extra speed out of a human does not mean you can do the same with a machine (MASC and Superchargers discluded)

I've never heard of an engine that can't run over 100% of its recommended maximum.

None. Level 2 is fine how it is, a lot of the level 3 rules are unbalancing.

I don't care about realism, and many of the level 3 rules seem to be about making combat more realistic without actually adding anything to the game.

And I hate when it is assumed that a level 3 rules are being used at a pick-up game or something.
