==Overview:==
To help improve the WiE mech strength Khan Kell started adding assault designs
with the new Battlemaster IIC. To help augment this he also added the Thug IIC
to the roster. And has since started 2 production lines for the frightening
new assault mech. It appears that he has purchased the rights for the Thug for
standard production at the WiE complex.
==Capabilities:==
Very little has changed in terms of overall armament between the IS Thug and
the Clan Thug. Both mount ER PPC's and Short Range Missile Launchers. But the
difference is the quality of the weapons. the Clan Er PPC's are the standard
clan models. giving the Thug a 50% increase in damage per PPC. And with the
Clans ability to engineer weapons and other systems lighter and more compact
than the IS, they also have switched out the old pair of SRM6's for an
astounding 7 Streak 4 launchers. The New Thug will run a little warm but with
alternating weapon fire and careful heat management the Thug when paired with
the new Battlemaster will be a duo that should strike fear into the hearts of
any mechdriver.

Yes it's just SD again.
This looks like plain (and deadly) upgrade, but...
Why the speed downgrade? Original Thug had standard engine but 4/6/0 speed. This doesn't make using the SRMs easier.
Where is ammo? 7 launchers, 25 shots, this seems like the SRMs are just over sized coup-de-grace. More than half of mech's weapons have only 3 to 4 shots (if they all lock, you have 4 turns of mayhem and than just tougher (and slower) Black Hawk A)! This may be sufficient for trials, but WiE need more longevity.
If you want to gain more tonnage with the same speed or install less armor / lighter gyro, you may change the tonnage a little. IICs sometimes add or take 5 or 10 t from original. (Great Wyrm even 15t from base Dragon chassis)
