Can you imagine the look of a fast VTOL-pilot being left behind by this one?
But to be serious: It has it´s problems with targeting and piloting because of the small cockpit so a veteran is needed to drive this speed/C-Bill monster savely!
Pilot in front of a 4,75 mio C-Bills scrap heap: "Sorry, commander! I slipped off a banana peel!"

Hehe Better yet I can imagine the look of dispair on the mechwarriors face and the commanding officers face when the mech moving at a full rin hits a well disguised pit trap or a well laid out trip cable.
Hehehe First the noise
WHAM!!!!
PBI laughing thier asses off at the mechwarrior as the mech leaves a 4 hex furrow as it came to a shattered halt.

Can you imagine the NIGHTMARE it would be to pilot such a beast?
Not only do you have to watch for enemies, you have to watch for trees, rocks, etc: anything that can trip your 'mech; a fall at over 200mph would be quite devastating, not only on the 'mech, but on the pilot. You have to plant your 'mechs feet exactly right to keep from slipping...
I wouldn't want to be in it.

You want to spend 9,5 mio to kill a Daishi?
I mean spend for no Helix will survive that! A sort of extraordinary expensive ammo!

I don't know about that. Even if you manage to get 31 hexes of movement on the charge it's only 31 points of damage.

If you play with reactor-explosion-rules from MaxTech it could be more!

You don't use ultralights to ram. You use Savannah masters with no laser and a bigger, fusion, engine.

Hmmm... 9.50 million for the mechs and then lets be conservative in the traning costs of 1.5 mill (750K each) just to throw them away? Ugh no thanks. Especially since you then have to write condolance letters and start paying the deceased pilots family. No thanks, Ill just hire the mech unit from mech 4, ya know the one that fields 35 of 35 frontline clan omnis, all aquired from salvage. Its cheaper in the long run.
