A testbed for an idea. I wanted a 'mech that moved as slowly as possible, packing as much firepower as I could squeeze in. For some reason, I just couldn't swing 1/2 movement: there were always tons left over.

Kinda mixed feelings here. It's got the thickest armored hide I've ever seen yet for it's speed and weight it seems woefully undergunned.

You could try the 1/2 movement with something lighter than 100 tons. As for this one, it's not really inspiring confidence. The weaponry looks heavy, but I think the old Annihilator will outperform it due to better heat management. Not in a duel but performing the same "guard-the-base" role.

I heard about Czech BT tournaments some seven years ago. One of the disciplines was duel without tonnage limit, lvl 1 tech. The contestants resembled this, but there was second type of contestants - mediums / heavies with 5/8 or 6/9 with almost no armor AC/2 and ammo - on larger clear map there was a chance of defeating pillbox without being hit
The mech itself has a lot of firepower, but serious heat problems (three LLs are too much for 19 HSs).

2 PPCs instead of 3 LLs with more HS would have being nicer.
And of course more medium lasers are good..

For level one, its somewhat under-gunned. I've always disliked AC/5s that aren't RACs and AC/2s reguardless of the type. AC/5s provide decent range, but they take up a lot of space and weight that could be used for something far more damaging, like upping the LRM to a 20 and the SRMs to sixes and some extra sinking power.
As a quad, you do have limited space, and you have restrictions due to your height.
I'd like to see a level 3.
I think this is even more of a walking pillbox...
