Of all the ST characters, I really liked Scotty, he was the down to earth, tell it as it is kind of guy.
Doohan was a damn fine actor and one who gave life to the characters he played. He will be missed.

He was a member of one of the founding units of my Regiment... Always sad to see a good Canadian war vet die.

He's dead Jim.

How many of the old crew are still around besides Shatner and Nimoy? Those guys must be feeling pretty old right about now. _________________ "Those who beat their guns into plows will plow for those with guns..." -Thomas Jefferson

I thought either Walter Koenig or George Takei had passed away in the past few years? _________________ "Those who beat their guns into plows will plow for those with guns..." -Thomas Jefferson

No.
George Takei is fine and making stuff. His most recent movie was Mulan II (2004) where he voiced one of the ancestors.
And Walter Koenig is also doing fine, having just recently done a few things and is making some more.
