Does anyone here have some statistics for Hussar mentioned in Hussar fluff in TRO 3050 (rev.) and TRO 2750? It says that
Quote:
|
The SLDF created a variant of the Hussar that mounts two Maxell medium lasers and doubles the 'Mech's armor, giving it much needed protection in close-range combat situations.

I haven't seen any tries at creating a record sheet for it, but it shouldn't be hard. Remove ER LL and mount two medium lasers in the CT. The armor isn't doubled, it's tripled.

I just wanted to know, if there is something official.

I don't think there's anything official beyond the fluff. The text of the Revised TROs has been altered a bit. There's no mention of this variant in the 2750 TRO.

Actually it's mentioned on Mechground on the bottom of the fluff. I thought that mechs from TRO 2750 were included in TRO 3050 rev. without changes.

After coming across this post in my "cleaning" duties here at the B&G I did some looking around myself. I even went to TRL (Tech Readout Legends) and they didn't even have it included anywhere. Not in the Light Mechs, and not in the "Missing" section... nada. And TRL is an awesome place to find fluff mechs and dropped official mechs.
TRL
Thats the linky if anyone wants to check it out, a lot of neat 'mechs there

This one has two ML and doubled armor... used extra 1.5 tons for an ECM. In my mind this is the most logical of my 3 possibles on this.
BattleMech Technical Readout
Type/Model: Hussar HSR-225-D
Tech: Inner Sphere / 2750
Config: Biped BattleMech
Rules: Level 2, Standard design
Mass: 30 tons
Chassis: Benztrov 40 Standard
Power Plant: 270 GM Fusion
Walking Speed: 97.2 km/h
Maximum Speed: 151.2 km/h
Jump Jets: None
Jump Capacity: 0 meters
Armor Type: Victory Anchor 2 Ferro-Fibrous
Armament:
1 Guardian ECM
2 Maxell Medium Lasers
Manufacturer: Newhart Industries
Location: (Unknown)
Communications System: Field Ranger Sightseer
Targeting & Tracking System: Ranger LAF Model 2
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==Overview:==
Originally designed in 2630 by the Star League Defense Forces to provide
close support for infantry units, the Hussar quickly proved its worth as a
reconnaissance scout. Its light, thirty-ton frame and 151-kph maximum speed
give it greater maneuverability and enable it to handle a wider variety of
terrain than many other scout 'Mechs.
The Hussar is equipped with a Newhart extended-range large laser, which
gives it above-average range and targeting ability with far less maintenance
than many other, similar weapons. Once within range of enemy weapons, however,
the Hussar runs into trouble. If drawn into one-on-one combat, the Hussar can
charge, kick or punch its way out-but with only 1.5 tons of ferro-fibrous
armor, this BattleMech's best bet is to disengage and retreat.
The Hussar's Ranger communications and targeting systems are above
average, with extended-range capabilities for surveillance missions, and can
jam most communications systems. Several well-placed Hussars behind enemy
lines can completely disrupt the enemy's dissemination of orders and
deployment of troops. Used as a reconnaissance scout, the Hussar can tap into
transmissions between enemy BattleMechs as far as thirty-five kilometers away.
The Hussar also has excellent transmission capability, allowing it to report
on enemy movements and communications as well as jam them.
The SLDF also created a variant of the Hussar that mounts two Maxell
medium lasers and doubles the 'Mech's armor, giving it much needed protection
in closer-range combat situations.

This is just a straight replacement of the ERLL with two ML and tripled armor. I consider this the second most likely variant.

I consider this the least likely way the variant would have turned out, due to the fact that the only weapon change declared was the ERLL for 2 MLs, but its still plausible.

I would mount standard Medium Lasers (and maybe Single Heat Sinks) because of it´s a Star League design and ER Mediums were invented after the clan war!

Good work, with fluff around the mech the ECM is probably the best choice.
And now, celebrate the rebirth of phoenix... , err... Hussar!
