==Overview:==
The Stirge is the custom creation of Tolan Micheals, a preiphery "hermit" and
LosTech prospector. He cobbled together the Stirge from parts of numerous
'mechs, using the chassis of an old 3025 Bombardier as his starting point.
From there he managed to scrounge up the lasers and missile system from
numerous junked mechs and vehicles from across the periphery. The only part
Micheals was unable to find a replacement for was the 'mech's fusion engine.
Unable to find an ICE Engine to replace it either, he turned to his own skills
as an engineer and cobbled together a sufficiently large engine to move his
creation at a reasonable speed for a reasonable mass.

I don't know low tech mechs well, but this seems to be solid machine. I think it can even kick some mediums.

Yeah, when I designed the mech I didn't worry too much about how well it would fight, I was looking more to fit with the fluff I quickly wrote up for it. I actually think that the end result is a pretty solid design, as you said. It does pretty decent damage at short range, and the large laser could soften up the enemy a bit.
Overall I see it as more an overweight medium mech than a true heavy.

If an enemy lookes at that ICE and starts to : you´re able to give him a bad day or even a very bad one !!!

All that SRM ammo scares me but a goody Lvl2 upgrade will involve dropping 1 ton of ammo for 1 more HS and an ERL.
If you hate any heat build up at all when you run and gun with the ERL, get 11 tons of FF armor and 1 more HS.

It will remain lvl 3 , but even without I.C.E. it's equipment remains lvl 2 because it has CASE.

I would have, under normal circumstances, given it FF armour and some better weapons. However this mech was made from parts scrounged in the perihpery, so in keeping with the fluff I limited it to Lvl 1 armour, IS and weapons.
The case is there due to the 2 tons of ammo, which I felt made sense given the nature of the mech.
As I initially said, the mech is based around the fluff.
