I think it´s taken from the Empire Sourcebook (Star Wars RPG). The Torpedo Sphere was used to crush planetary shields. Specially calibrated Photon Torpedos ripped a hole in the shield and the Torbolasers shot through that hole to destroy the shieldgenerator.
So all weapons faced the same direction.

I based it off the ones found in the old Empire sourcebook, but noticed the small flaw with all the weapons in one direction, so I simplly adjusted to fit things in the BT universe and fixed the flaw.

In the BT universe you have no use for a space station with all weapons in all direction, so it was fine to spread the weapons! I only wanted to explain why Vagabond placed them only in one firearc.
I think your Station is more usefull in BT!
