I just don't see any of the Walkers from SW being similar to Protomechs...

I think this one would be better built and handled using mech rules and running about 4 to 5 tons over all.

I'm using the rules to construct something; i am not using the image those rules are assigned with to construct something. In my mind, I say that even thou this little guy uses the Protomech rules it still looks like a mini walker.

Actually, it would probibly be better off as a BA then a mech. However, BA may not be able to move fast enough for this unit to be duplicated that way. it is unknown at this time how fast this little guy can really go as SW.com dosen't say it's speed. it just mentions that it is faster then an AT-PT which is rumored to be faster then an AT-ST. so ya.

No I didn't mean as in looks, I was talking about the using the rules for PMs as the bases for them.

As for going with BA rules again I don't think that will work out well or come close. The CUTOUT CROSS SECTION book states that the RT is faster then the PT, with the PT having a top speed of 60 kph over flat terrain, according to the New Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels.

Below are some my takes on this one, not the lack of arms as well as the idea here that we are going to have to make some adjustments given how BT phsyics work and how certain things are weigthed and sized. The books state the RT is 2.5 meters tall.
