As soon as I hit "Submit", it struck me: difficulty. There's no real challenge in making a Clan design, no real...artistry. It's just too easy to make a killer Clan design, packing in almost every weapon I feel like mounting. IS designs need a certain amount of...finesse to make them truly effective.

Pointless speech over.

That's why I generally stick to IS designs. Unless I'm working on a concept mech, then I may use clan tech.

Not to mention that Clan tech is actually more limited in varieties than IS tech.

To me the challenge is building an effective design on a small platform I have Clan Omnis using 15 ton Biped (Ice Guardian)25 ton Biped 25 ton Quad (Ice Hellion) 35 ton Biped (Sightblinder) and two 10 ton quad mechs (Chiggar and Wombat) Anybody can build big mechs show me an effective ultra-light design and you will impress me..
