I've put this in Design Submissions because writing fluff is part of designing 'Mechs.
Recently, I've been going through my designs, and noticing that the vast majority of them are fluffed as being FedSuns. Along with nearly all of my aerospaces and vehicles. Some of the 'Mechs are fluffed as someone else's - Clan, Drac, Lyran, even two Cappie 'Mechs. But most of them are still FedSuns.
Which leads to the quesiton. How does your affiliation affect your fluff?

Often. Most of my designs are for the FedCom, namely the Davion side, although I still do a lot of other designs (except Clan: for some reason, I don't like designing Clan-tech).

Some. (Ooops. Clicked the one above it...)
Meaning that most of my designs are for the AFFS/LAAF.

Most of the time I design something with fluss in mind. But then as I design it changes and the fluff is useless.

if my affiliation affected my fluff, my designs would be mostly Kurita. however, as they are not, i can safely say i am not effected.
i design mostly Davion stuff do to weapon choices.

I vote alot. Although if its based on my affilation, i should be designing more Comstar and FRR, DCMS and Lyran (FRR equipment mainly comes from these 2 houses) styled units.
This isnt too true though since i basically just look over what is lacking from the original TROs (insufficient Stealth designs for example) and i slot my design in for that House.

I see a lot of my designs on the baord are Kurita. Yet at the same time on my machine my smallest number of modifications and custom mechs are Kurita. Its just my flavour of plya for the last 4-5 years.

I try to use all fractions (WoBies get the worst results of my designing attempts ), but my fluff is mostly imperfect.

When I do a design I do it for the faction I am using in our gaming group we picked a Crusader Clan Ice Hellions in my case a Warden Clan I picked Cloud Cobras. and we had the option to custom design a clan ...I opted instead to build on an Outer Perephery state that I had origionaly concieved for a Campaing that never got off the ground the Outland Alliance. If you look at my designs abot 98% belong to one of those three groups. I have done a few designs for the periphery world of Glasgow that I created for the story on HMPs FanFic forum The Goldfish Strike Back I feel that if you design a piece of equipment there should be a logical background behind it that can explain why it has the features it does. For instance the Outland Alliance for long time lacked the capacity to build a mech over 15 tons so they had to use the 10 and 15 ton chassis to fullfill every type of mission resulting in some rather strange designs.Glasgow has a tech base of about 21st century and limited capacity so it builds designs that are small and low tech The largest machines only wiegh 15 tons and use I.C.E.s and small missile racks and MGs.My Ice Hellion mechs are all light and fast.
