So Comstar computer network... Liao Armour, Weapons from Marik, and a chassis of Kurita origin. The fluff to me is a massive turn off in this case.

Its an okay mech, very vulnerable and not something you'd enjoy piloting. Your going to have to slide into most opponents medium/close range to use your electronics suite properly. This means your going to get shot up and with all this expensive and hard to replace gear mated to an XL engine... your asking for a serious amount of trouble.

The firepower isn't great for a unit of this type, and is out gunned by the Raven. As for stealth armour it was Null Sig Armour during the Star League. You've used the Liao gear on your setup.

I'm feeling its overly expensive and overly useless. Easy for infantry to smoke it as well, since it has no way to fight htem off.

Yes yes, I'll admit it, I had some oversights. This design was a bit of a fluff discepencey. I have a Level 3 version here

with a larger electronic suite. However, for this, I'd just removed the C3i and add 2 MGs, 1/2 a ton of ammo, and an extra ER Medium to balance it.

Side note: I figure that by 3060 (design's real date, another miscrepancy) that everyone would have plenty of generic ER and Pulse and LBX and Ultra weapons.

Not quite. For example, only Lyrans produce the Ultra AC/20 (Defiance Thunder), while only Steiner, Liao, and Davion produce the LB20-X (Defiance Disintegrator, Shengli, Mydron Excel). But pretty much everyone produces their own ER medium lasers.

I would suggest using the Inner Sphere Atlas to get stuff like that right - figuring out what companies (in which Successor State) produce what stuff. It's not perfect, but it's pretty good. I myself use a mix of the IS Atlas and the names already associated with the weapons in Heavy Metal.

Also C3i is only use by ComStar and their Wobbie counterparts because it adheres to their 6 mech per unit design.

IS only uses 4 mechs per lance.

Funny, the Tatical Handbook says both the FedSuns and the Lyrans have the full range of Ultra Cannons...listing who makes them.

Oh? Ok. I never said my method was perfect, just that it works, for the most part. I don't have the THB. Who makes the Ultra/20 for Davion, then?

The only Davion design on which I've seen an Ultra AC/20 is the Victor.

Never realized that. Oh well. Next time I make a design I'll know to really really check up on the makers of the stuff...
