What is your most unique design? The design that's the least like any other thing you've created? The design that makes you stare in wonder at your own creativity?

Well, I'm not quite staring in wonder, but this was different. The entire concept was that it must have two ER PPCs, and as many heavy medium lasers as possible. The middle range bracket is rather superfluous, but I needed something to do with the left over tonnage. (I was running out of crits.)

==Overview:==
The "Fire Fighter" flame suppression workmech was designed in 2423 by the
now-defunct SafetyCo (a subsidiary of FirWorx Inc.) as an on-site
fast-response unit to fight fires and assist in dealing with other disasters.
Unfortunately, the design's slow land speed prevented it from reaching far-off
fires before the burning area was turned into a smouldering shell, and was too
expensive to be widely deployed. Thus, the "Fire Fighter" could only be
deployed in small areas, such as military compounds, airfields, and industrial
complexes.

==Capabilities:==
The sprayer mounted on the unit's arm is capable of dispensing many different
types of chemical, from foam fire suppressant to a de-icing agent to plain
water. With minor modifications, the sprayer can even dispense accelerant,
allowing the unit to function as an incendiary vehicle.

Not only is the unit able to fight (or start) fires, it is capable of
assisting in rescue operations, thanks to its capacity of lifting and moving
multi-ton pieces of rubble.

==Deployment==
Fire suppression 'mechs are deployed at almost every airbase, landing strip,
starport, factory, and military base that can afford them.

I think my most unique design would have to be the communal project we did in here call the Grillmaster. It was a design by commitee and actually came out as a decent mech. (with several odd flaws of course)

The Design that most violates my design philosophy is the Harley-Davidson HD-7 series a 20 ton mech with a 4/6 move it is the antithisis of thre way I design light mechs ...I quickly designed the Harley-Davivson HD-9 series from it

Uniqua design? As in the design itself? How it came to be? How it's used? hmmm...hard one there. My Tapper in the customs section, 90 tonner is a unique design. My Lark is a unique design in how it came about. 60 tonner in custom section. hmm...hard to pick just one, me must think more deeply upon the subject.

harvesting a native crustacian that can weigh as much as 8 tons on a planet
known as St.Vincent.This crustacian is well known for its delecate flavour and

properly processed makes an excellant building material

==Capabilities:==
The HD-SF is strongly armoured to protect it from both the pressure of the
water it opperates under and the claws of the crustacia it havests.The twin
claws enable it to grab and hold the creatures so it can burn out the brain of

the creature with its head or center torso mounted medium lasers. While usualy

not used as a combat machine they can be dangerous foes in close combat with
an experianced pilot.


==Battle History:==
While usualy used to harvest giant crustacia there have been a couple of
occasions when they have been forced to fight pirates with them moving from
ambush they grapled with the pirate mechs and using the same methods used to
take down the giant crustacia proved deadly to the pirates.

I can beat that Mo.

the Articulation motors are use to give the synthskin a lifelike movement (snarlling lips, quivering muscels and what not). Though its not cheap the Mech is intended for researching the various large land animals that resemble dinosaurs. (Found in the mechwariors companion).

function much like a dinosaur. The Megasaur is a bipedal animal found on
several worlds throughout the innersphere, realizing there was no way to study
these animals without great personal risk a alternate means of studing them
was needed. Enter the battlemech. As these mechs are considered special and
dont fall into the battlemech category they arent as widespread, and since
most are used by scientists and universities cost was kept low but enough
technnology was added to help keep the observerving unit safe.

The Megasaur is a very unique piece of equipment, starting with the internal
structure Endo steel was used to help with weight reduction. When the skeleton
was made they actually cast molds from existing skeletons of the Megasaur to
create a rigid yet extremly flexible skeleton. After studing the muscle layers
of the Megasaur the scientists then added layers of mynomer to the chassie so
that when they were done it would resemble the dinosaur-like creature in
question. A torso mounted cockpit was added along with a compact gyro. Claws
were added to the unit to help with defense if needed. It was felt that using
ballistic or energy weapons would cause undue problems for the unit since most
of the time a fight will be between a pair of creatures fighting for
dominance. Designed into the chassie are a few "Articulation Motors". These
were added to help move the body and head and tail in a realistic way. They
produce extra heat so double strength heat sinks were added to help keep the
heat low even when the the Null signature system is activated. The Null was a
odd shoice for this unit initally but has since proven its worth to the unit,
initally when first deployed the Megasaur was running with out the Null, this
forced the unit to expell waste heat as normal mechs (instead of through the
feet), it became obvious that the mech wasnt being accepted and was initally
attacked on site. After adding the Null the unit has been able to interact
with the living creatures with minor problems. Initally built with standard
armor plateing, (which no amount of molding and painting can hide), one of the
design team suggested using prostetic skin, after several test runs it was
found that the prostetic skin added minor protection but could be reinforced
with layers of armor plating under the skin. This is done by layering a
section with mynomer, then armor, then another section of mynomer (for muscel
movments) and then synthetic skin. When the unit does see battle (usually with
another Megasaur) any damage recieved can be devistating as bent plates can
cause major problems with movement. Since the unit is often alone, observation
equipment has been added (this gear is near the original Ostscouts
specifications) to gather information on the pack or herd that the unit is
observing, This also allows the pilot to concintrate on piloting and frees
them from having to take notes. (It also allows a well trained ex-mech pilot
to handel the machine, and not a scientist). Communication gear was added and
then shielded so it could be operated with the Null signature system. Special
care was given to the cockpit and the clans provided several innovations that
went into the design of the torso mounted cockpit. A special suit is worn my
the pilot and acts much like a EI network that some Clans field (several were
salvaged from the battlefield but when the rumors of the side effects became
reality the EI network was scrapped and the SEIS was created (Specialized
Enhanced Imageing Suit, this si currentely being tested for military
application as well) this is a suite that the warrior wears that will enable
the wearer some of the benefits fo the EI network with less risk of major
personal injury. The cockpit is actually mounted facing the spine of the mech
with the pilots back faceing the ground. This was done for protection and
space limitations, infact pilots of these special units are generally less
then 5' 4", anyone taller actually can not fit in the cockpit, although
modified for combat units do exsist some units have been purchased by military
units and then modified for combat use. These are very rare though as only
scouts or forward observers would risk using these as battlemechs.

==Variants:==
There are a few different varients of the Megasaur most are cosmetic
variations of the mech that change its look. There are even quad versions of
these mechs for studing the more docile versions of the animals.

Other varients that are used by the military generally slow the mech down to
add extra armor and weapons, as the chassie has proven to be a very capable
scout mech. Most modifications are kept quiet as the mech tends to become
highly specialized.

==Notable 'Mechs & MechWarriors:==
The most notable pilot is Charles Sinclaire. He pilots a Megasaur that looks
much like the first hostile Megasaur found by the original search team on
planet Mesozoa. During his stay on planet he was accepted by a family unit of
the hostile creatures and spent the next 3 weeks in the herd collecting data.
All was going well till a Male Megasaur decided it was time to mate. Charles
barely escaped with a working mech and was eventually rescued. To this day he
refuses to speak of the incident or how he escaped, all data gathered
involving the incident has been confiscated and deememd top secret.

==Deployment==
Several versions have shown up in research scientists groups. As well as
universities and colleges throughout the Innersphere. A few have also found
their way into the hands of scout mech pilots assigned to various companies
and then usually in an alternate configuration.

The highest concintration of Megasaur style mechs (several styles exsist) in
both 2 and 4 leg varients exsists in the company Terras Traveling Jurassic
History Museum (TTJHM). They are a traveling circus that reinacts and teaches
ancient history to various planets, there are several sections of this
company, and the Jurassic performers specialize in recreating bits and pieces
of the ancient history of mankinds birthplace.

observing, This also allows the pilot to concintrate on piloting and frees
them from having to take notes. (It also allows a well trained ex-mech pilot
to handel the machine, and not a scientist). Communication gear was added and
then shielded so it could be operated with the Null signature system. Special
care was given to the cockpit and the clans provided several innovations that
went into the design of the torso mounted cockpit. A special suit is worn my
the pilot and acts much like a EI network that some Clans field (several were
salvaged from the battlefield but when the rumors of the side effects became
reality the EI network was scrapped and the SEIS was created (Specialized
Enhanced Imageing Suit, this si currentely being tested for military
application as well) this is a suite that the warrior wears that will enable
the wearer some of the benefits fo the EI network with less risk of major
personal injury. The cockpit is actually mounted facing the spine of the mech
with the pilots back faceing the ground. This was done for protection and
space limitations, infact pilots of these special units are generally less
then 5' 4", anyone taller actually can not fit in the cockpit, although
modified for combat units do exsist some units have been purchased by military
units and then modified for combat use. These are very rare though as only
scouts or forward observers would risk using these as battlemechs.

==Variants:==
Several of the combat varients have shown up all of them keep the sensor and
communit but many of them remove the claws for more armor and weapons. The
more prominent scout Megasaur (named the T.Rex) has retained all of the
standard items but added extra armor (several reports of a Armored dinosaur
have filtered in from infantry units when this scout mercenary is hired).

the only way to get all of the extra items in the chassie is to either replace
the engine or increase the mech weight. The T.Rex still uses the synthetic
skin but has armor plates added on top of it, so it essentially looks like the

mounted in the mouth roaring it can scare even the most battle hardned
trooper.

==Notable 'Mechs & MechWarriors:==
Not alot is know about the pilot of the T.Rex. it is known that his is
somewhat arrogant and appears to be well off. He tends to work alone and
spends most of his free time working on the Rex's upkeep. Some of his antics
have angered his employers, Running head long into a enemy infantry position
with his unit in full combat gear does seem to have a unnervng effect on the
enemy troops, that even the commanders cant deny. He has spent a considerable
amount of time and money on the T.Rex, from what information we have been able
to uncover it appears that he even has 3 or 4 different styles of battle armor
for his Mech. But we also dont know if he has a lance that he works with or
not.
