The Viper; it's a Spider that can carry an ER PPC 
I've used a couple of Vipers to totally decimate Inner Sphere companies. They just too hard to hit.

Well, I'm siding with the Nova on this one. First a brief look at the others:
The Dragonfly is the single least used 3050 unit by me. I just hated the fact that the image and stats were reversed. Dunno, I guess it has some good configurations, but that error just turned me off the design.
The Ice Ferret is great! When it came out, it was the toughest truly fast design. The configurations are equal parts gold and duds. Love the Prime for the PPC alone. Love the MPLaser boat and like the ERLL/SRM one (I don't actually know the config letters off by heart in this one!  ). Hate the laughable LRM boat and AC-2 carrier. But this one can really bring on the hurt (unlike the Phantom in most of its configs).
Ah, the Stormcrow. One of my favourites! The configurations Prime, B are unbelievably wonderful, A and C are great, though not quite as powerful, only D seems to get less out of its goal. Though it has great staying power for a missile boat. A wonderful, wonderful design, this is a better mini-maxed job than the ubiquitous Timberwolf! The only reason it's not my favourite is the:
NOVA! Ok, this goes back a long time. But, I got interested in BT because of the Summoner pic (see other thread). I got sucked in through TRO:3025. The first design I was actively interested in, was the Nova. It looked way cool in the head-on view. I was going around asking my friends: could this beat a....Daishi?
And this is also the design in which I finished MW2, both Falcon and Wolf. It was only in GBL that I figured out how to use a torso-twist effectively.....
The Prime and A are absolutely marvellous in the board game. Both are very brutal, the Prime in a nuke-you-even-if-I-nuke-myself sort of way, the A by mounting two head choppers. Also gotta love the extras, the two AMS and the always-useful MPL. To tell you the truth, I've only used the B once and never even considered the rather silly C and D variants. The H looks yummy but sucks real bad. Giving your whole CLAN 'mech a total range of 9 hexes just won't cut the cheese. The E looks very promising, it'll be the next thing I'll try out on MegaMek.

Give the Prime II I put into the TRO here a try if you like heavy lasers. I swapped out half of the Prime's ERs for heavy lasers. It made sense because you can never use the prime's full compliment of lasers anyway, so you might as well have range brackets.

Stormcrow. It's useful anywhere, depending on the config. The D isn't too hot, but the rest are all killers.
But the burning wreck is the best one...

nova all the way here cause the prime varient (look at all those lasers ) is just frigging dangerous its definetly one of my favourite mechs

Viper. Insane speed for a medium mech at the time. Carries enough pod space to back it up.
Stormcrow is second, one of the most solid mechs made by the clans.

I chose Dragonfly (Viper). I like the speed on it plus the jumping capacity. It's armor is rather light for a medium mech and it's weaponry is below average. But like the Uller, I like it's looks.

Stormcrow. It's fast, powerful, and well armored, all at the same time. These are the same things which make the Timber Wolf good.
And unlike the Timber Wolf, I like most of the Stormcrow's configs. Stormcrow's also the best looking of the group, as far as I'm concerned..

You know, I have a hard time accepting the results of above poll. All the gamers I met in both Australia and Germany would prefer the other three mediums to the Viper. Are all the Viper fans of American background? Is the jumping capability such a great advantage over the poor Fenris? Despite of the latter being as fast (ground speed), better armoured and possessing better configurations?
And can those two fast light-mech-wannabes really compare to the other two, two of the greatest medium BATTLEmechs ever designed?
I only had trouble picking the Nova over the Stormcrow, the other two really never crossed my mind.....

Well one of them viper lovers is from Asia 
I like it for its speed.. a departure from the normal me really. But the Storm Crow is number two on my books. It's just plain hard.

I'm from Canada and a stanch supporter of Clan Ghost Bear, when I'm not playing the Arkab legions.
So the Viper is the best mech around in my opinion. Although my Fenris took DarkAdder's Black Hawk once upon a time.
