Okay anyone have any idea on which faction is most likely to use this vehcile?

It feels Capellan. Marik tends to use more AMS than everyone else, but if it were Marik it would be fusion powered. Liao was allied with Marik, and the ICE engine and AMS together make it seem like theirs - cheap but effective.

I've never used 'Mech Mortars. How do they work?

Been awhile since I used them, so bare with me here.

IIRC they work similar to missiles in the indirect fire mode, rolling on the Missile tables for amount of damage, but I am not 100% on that, would need to check on it.

Also there are 4 types of ammo or shells for the Mech Mortars, smoke, AntiPer, Flare, Shaped Charge. The rules are found on pages 54-55 of the THB.
