Might I suggest renaming the "battle" lance as the "strike" lance? It has a better sound to my ears. _________________ Evil is like a bowl of oranges. Only one, instead, is an orange of DOOM. That orange has a fate to rule over the other oranges with an iron fist. That orange is me.

While I like the Dervish, Roland "Ruger" Wilhelm would pilot a modified Banshee (3/5/3 on a standard engine, Gauss with 3 tons ammo, LB-10X with 2 tons ammo, ER PPC, 5 standard meds, Guardian ECM suite, 10 DHS's and 256 pts of armor, with a Tacticon B-2000 battle computer salvaged from a Cyclops along with a SatNav uplink module to its Tek Battlecom system and DLK Phased Array targeting system...hey, I have a heavy/assault company to command in the Clifton's Rangers afterall)...
Although Warner would like to think it's a BattleMaster-4S...

I'll take the CRD-5S version of the Crusader.
The fire lance as composed is weak, weak, weak.

The MechWarrior known as Nightmare rides a customized Jenner right now, but he's on queu for an upgrade if the company gets money. I happen to like the heavier stuff, and would really, really like to test the Steiner Charger CGR-SA5. 3 ER medium lasers, 2 Streak SRM-6 and the LB-20X should be enough to ruin anyone's day.

i figured i was a given. I pilot a DV-6M painted black with Red Roses across the torso affectiontly called Kodachi 'the Black Rose."
ooc- My Kodachi has been modified as follows: replace SHS with DHS, replace standard armor with ferro-fiberous, add 3 tons of armor, replace ML with ER ML, replace LRM 10s with MRM 10s and 1 ton of ammo, replace SRM 2 with SRM 4 and 1 ton ammo, and add CASE in both torsos.

Well, strike always has the ring of "fast but powerful" to it, no? Like Jenner, Scorpion, Ostseries, etc? Not exactly main-line BATTLE material?

Well, dear sir, you can prove the worth of that Crusader.
As far as I have learned through novels, etc, a fire lance in 3025 was not necessarily a very heavy fire-support lance. Much rather, it was the lance filled with the 'mechs best suited to behind-the-fronts duty.

Well if we are going strictly old school here, I'd have to take one of the following, Wolverine, Griffin or Phoenix Hawk. Most likely the Griffin, PPC variant. Though they are all great mechs.

jymset, why are you saying year 3005? Cause last I knew Mordel's was in 3062
If you decide to do what it would look like in both years give me a MAD-3D Marauder in level 1, and the MAD-5Y-C, or the Bandersnatch I named in my other post (probably better choice cause more versatile...) in 3062

Ah, that is just my old-school pig-headedness.....
But sure, we could do an old-n-new, right? And maybe even a Clan unit?
Ok, give me a minute....

Ok, here is 3005 again. Another lance was added, meaning that there are some open slots. I titled the new lance medium lance (how original) meaning I could rename battle lance into heavy lance.
Command Lance
Illustrious Leader Mordel - ??????????????????????????
Beebles - Phoenix Hawk
ralgith – Marauder
Assault Lance
bladewind – Hunchback
Oafman – Atlas
Ruger - Thunderbolt S
Heavy Lance
XO Master Bartender chihawk - Grasshopper
Hardware - Crusader D
StarRaven - Marauder
Warhammer: 3025 – Warhammer
Medium Lance
Erenon - Panther
Vampire – Centurion
Wanallo – Centurion
Fire Lance
Lance Commander SaberDance – Whithworth
Alexx Knight - Griffin
jymset - Blackjack
Vagabond - Dervish
Scout Lance
Motown Scrapper – Jenner
mud – Locust
Nightmare - Jenner
Seraph – Locust
Stinger - ????????????
edited to change Ruger's 'mech and added Hardware's variant

Ok, can we agree that we allow mods of designs (but not totally new designs) into this contemporary unit? Quite a few people have only entered generic 'mech names. I used those for this time-line also. If you want something else, just holler!
Mordel's Horde, 3062
Command Lance
Mordel – Penetrator 4D
chihawk – Clint (got a great upgrade) or Grasshopper
ralgith – Bandersnatch (or Marauder 5Y-C)
StarRaven – Marauder 5 D or R
Main Battle Lance
bladewind – Hunchback
Hardware – Crusader 5S
Nightmare – Charger SA5
Assault Lance
Oafman – modified Atlas
Ruger – modified Banshee
Stinger - Devastator
Warhammer: 3025 – very much modified Warhammer
Scout Lance
Beebles – modified Hermes
Motown Scrapper – modified Jenner
mud - Locust
Seraph – modified Locust
Fire Lance
jymset – Zeus 9S
Erenon – modified Panther
SaberDance – modified Whitworth (II)
Medium Lance
Alexx Knight – upgraded Chameleon
Vagabond – modified Dervish
Vampire – Centurion
Wanallo - Centurion CN10-B (which is the 55-ton variant out of RS:3060 - the official MechCommander variant!)
edit: Seraph's Locust is customised.

And here, for the alternate universe, Mordel's fine and civilised Clan Cluster:
Mordel – yes, the Clan version of our leader rides this: ??????????
jymset – Nova PRIME or A (you tell me!)
bladewind – Hunchback IIC (just an estimated guess – I am sure you can think of something more suited to your tastes)
Warhammer: 3025 – Summoner (which variant)
chihawk – Viper B (even with the discrepancy in weight, an omni is always preferable to a Stone Rhino, even if we do chose the preferred configuration)
Oafman - ???????????????????????????
SaberDance - ?????????????????????
Mowtown Scrapper – Hellion (which variant? And I chose the Hellion over the Phantom, it is more you!)
Seraph - Kit Fox A
Wanallo - ???????????
ralgith – Timberwolf A (I would have to challenge you to an honour duel if you were to appear in a Summoner M!!!)
Beebles - ????????????????
Star Raven - Marauder IIC (just another estimated guess – though this one isn't half bad)
Erenon – Turkina (variant?)
Stinger – Timberwolf (could you chose a canon variant?)
Ruger - ????????????
Hardware - ???????????????
mud – LET ME GUESS: Fire Falcon?
Vampire – would you ever let yourself be seen in a Clan ‘mech?
Alexx Knight - ????????????
Nightmare - ????????????
Vagabond - ?????????????
Obviously, with all those missing 'mechs, I have not yet attempted to create subunits.
edited: forgot that I had comitted to the Nova, so, I've just changed from my Summoner to a Nova. Which variant should I take? In the PC game I only used the PRIME. On the board, I love it too, but like the A even slightly better? Should I commit to character? Take the PRIME?
Added Seraph's 'mech

If we're talking level 1 then make it the CRD-3D version.
