The twin Medium PPCs (combined max damage, 18 points/arc) mounted in the broadside arcs are replaced with a single N-AC/30, I decreased the tonnage a little, and increased the Structural Integrity rating and ever-so-slightly increased the armor load. That's pretty much all I could tweak

I suppose. But NACs are against the design philosophy. I used all energy weapons deliberately, to reduce reliance on other ships for ammunition. It's not like it carries DropShips to do that for it.
I did notice, though, that I didn't quite finish the design. I forgot the escape pods and bay doors. Whoops. So I've edited the original post.

I like both versions, even though ammo for the AC one will have to be brought over on cargo shuttles landing in the small craft bays. Either way, nice work, this for the battlegroup Star?

What about the docking ring? I always assumed that larger items could be transferred from DropShips via the docking rings. That's the main reason I included any docking rings at all. Although I've since found something else to do with it, which I'll post when I'm done fluffing it.

Yes, it is. I noticed that I didn't have anything moving faster than 4/6. I needed a light ship, since the Fox wasn't cutting it and I wasn't happy with anything already existing.
