==Overview:==
Already having a good stock of "utility" fighters, namely the Corsair, Davion
fleet command wanted a new assault fighter to be deployed during planetary
assaults. One year later, Jalastar Aerospace submitted the plans for the
Tauren.

==Capabilities:==
The Tauren, while relatively slow, mounts some of the heaviest armor ever seen
on an aerospace fighter. This protection is good, as the fighter must get
quite close to use its primary weapon, the Armstrong Requiem autocannon. To
help offset the short-range cannon, the Tauren also mounts a Devastator
Series-07 missile rack.

To cover the closer ranges, the Tauren also sports twin Cyclops Eye Large
Lasers, and three Aberdovey Mk III Medium Lasers, one of which faces rear.

==Deployment==
The Tauren is deployed across the Federated Suns, stationed in the assault
wings of most RCTs.
