Actually, Im running an RPGA group in the Eberron setting, Mark of Heroes.
Its a little tough, as MoH is only just getting off the ground and has NO support whatsoever.
Anyone else?

I'm breaking down, I think. I played a little when I was a kid (6 or so, I tagged along with my brother, then 13).

Then I got involved in a pirate game two years ago.

And now I'm thinking I might buy the 3.5 books this summer, or maybe earlier if I have the money, and GM a DnD game next semester.

Well, yes and no. I used to, but since moving away for school and getting married, I haven't had much time at all for gaming of any kind. I do however try to keep an eye on things, and think/dream about when I can start a group up again.

We also played Star Wars d20 and d20 Modern pretty regular, and dabbled briefly with Shadowrun, Vampire and MERP.

I play in two (or three, long story) D&D campaigns, and am currently running a Dragonmech campaign. Actually getting involved with the college gaming society can do wonders for your social life

Last I knew, there was something like 70 pages of errata for the Star Wars RPG. From what I gather they made the changes to make the game 'more like the movies'. Must be a nit-picker thing.
If anyone is looking to start their own campaign, RPGA or not, take a look at the Eberron setting. Lots of nifty stuff, and new creatures, rules, and magics.

Not meaning to be insulting anyone here... (except who i mention in a bit...) so here goes.

Wizkids (and TSR before it) doesn't know jack about making an oriental campaign.

I'm playing... umm... 3 DnD campagns, 1 Oriental, one forgotten Relams and one Arcana Unearthed (not to be mistake for Unearthed Arcana, wich is a rules expansion)

I'm currently assembling a Mechwarrior campaign to play on the weekends and once I move back to Lincoln will be starting a shadowrun campaign with my soon to be roomies

I don't get much time to play any rpg's of late. But I play btech as I can and when I can get together with my friends we can get some gaming going. Usual games we play when I run em: Shadowrun, Rifts, Palladium, AD&D, and Heroes. When my friend runs it It could be Vampire, Werewolf, Starwars, or his home made rpg Psionics. We do a lot more goofing around than accomplishing anything but hey, we have a blast.

D&D? That would be where most of my mates started. My original group assembled around the purchase of a pile of AD&D 2nd edition books. We still play it sometimes, simply because there's so much material around and we're all used to it.

D&D as in original? Some of us have played it, and we whipped out the Basic and Expert boxes only last month for a laugh. We wanted a break from the "serious" games for a while. I can't remember when we've laughed quite as much around the table before this. "Chance of encountering a sleeping dragon: Flying dragons are never asleep."

D&D as in the new stuff? I've got some used 3.0 core books, and will start a game to check them out soon.

Has anyone ever seen an RPG movie that was worth it's salt?

Battletech: The Series was pretty good, but that's the only thing which leaps to mind. (And no, Star Wars doesn't count!)

I cheat. I never use "expansion" rules. If I want to make an Oriental campaign (I did one once, for GDW's Twilight 2000 2.2) I go out, research the area I'm setting the game in, and adjust the rules myself.

The 3.5 game I'm prepping for next semester (yes, I do plan six months in advance) is set on an Ice World. Haven't quite worked out all the details yet.

My most veteran player's opinion: "Finally, a DnD game that isn't a Tolkien/New Zealand ripoff!"

I was playing both D&D 3.5 and BattleTech beforeI deployed this time last year. Got back in September continued with the D&D 3.5 game until I transfered duty stations. Played ina BattleTech game two weeks ago with Mordel's group while I'm here in Newport, RI attending a school for the Navy. At the end of Next week or sometime shortly there after I'll be moving to Japan, and I doubt I'll have much time to game ehile I'm stationed overseas.

I started D&D when I was pretty young, 7 or 8 I think. Started BattleTech in junior high with a MechWarrior Game at the Local Hobby Shop. IT was a Massive Solaris VII MechWarrior Game. Everyone was they're own mech jockie competing in the games, tryingto get Stable Sponsors etc... Met a badend when I took an AC 20 shot ot the head and my opponent refused to use his edge to reroll location.
