==Overview:==
The Aligator represents an attempt by the Marian Hegemony to produce a
home-grown VTOL to support its ground troops. The basic theory behind the unit
is for the pilot to travel low to the ground, using the terrain to cover up
the unit; once it is time, the pilot strikes with the six RL pods. Whatever is
left is either cut down by the unit's machine gun or is left for heavier units
to destroy.
At this time, it is unknown where specifically this machine is made or what
electronics it uses. Given that this is to be a budget unit, we do not believe
this to have any sort of advanced electronics.

Nice VTOL. I like it and will add it to my files. Though wouldn't a Roman sounding name be better for it given who is the primary user?

Good for hit and run attacks; I'd probably scrap the machine gun for another rocket pod. I'm not trying to get that close to enemy infantry in a VTOL.

Actually, the Aligator is an alternate designator for the KA-50 Hokum, on which I based the design.

Not too long ago, I picked up a pack of Micro Machine vehicles that was supposed to be a SWAT team - an armored van, a Ford Bronco, a motorcycle, another armored van (ambulance?), and a helicopter. Once I opened the package, however, I realized that the helicopter was really a Hokum.
Imagine sending that one after the speeders.
