yea it dose need a little tune up. like LV3 rules for LAMs and some new fighter support rules. for the life of me i cant under stand them. plus i don't like the fuel rule for fusion engine fighters to me they make no seance i like the old LV2 record sheet than the LV3 i would like to see some way of playing a large force and make it quicker maybe give weapons longer range so you can hit earlier in the game and make it a bit easer to hit OK now I'm rambling and starting to make no seance ......... i think ............ HURRY UP AND ROT!!!!! ... GET IN THE BAG!!!!!

The new tech definitely requires a touch up.
Regardless, I'll probably still be a huge fan of the 3025 rules.
I've sped up my games by contracting all the phases into two steps: move, shoot. All movement is handled at once, all shooting is handled at once. All the component parts are added into the appropriate set. That allows peope to roll hits, hit-locations, missile hits (and for MW, damage) all at the same time.
I've managed to get 4v4s, and the occasional 6v6 done in less than 5 hours, and that with freqent breaks, the many "Remember when..." stories, et cetera.
Then again, ya'll know me and following the rules ain't exactly like this...X. We are more like...

Touch Up to balance the new tech and maybe speed things up a little. An overhaul would take away the Big Bad Machine feel. In all my revisions and tweaks, make armor and infantry more dangerous, but still inferior to Mechs in almost all aspects.
Do not try to please every one or even a majority, just go for what works. Alienate 10%, make 50% happy, but add 30%, in the end, 20% more players.
