The Acheron is a high mobility command 'mech for dedicated
raiding-reconnaissance companies.

The Acheron is outfitted with a wide array of weight-saving technologies in
order to allow it to carry ten tons of computer equipment in addition to it's
armaments, including an experimental XL gyro.
Laser-reflective armor was chosen above ferro-fibrous armor because it was
significantly more compact and because the majority of the light and medium
'mechs the Acheron is likely to face in battle are armed with energy weapons.
An ECM suite was included in order to provide additional protection from smart
weapons and to provide ECCM capability to counter electronic attacks against
the Acheron's C3 capability.
