Folks, usually when I delete a review and don't approve it, I'll send a PM. However, with more and more people posting reviews, I'm not going to do this anymore.

Reviews should post why you feel a mech is either good, or bad. They shouldn't say "I wouldn't take this because it stinks." that sort of review doesn't say anything.

I want to start seeing reviews based around specific designs. Not what you could add to make it better. That essentially is your way of making it better. If you think something is bad because there aren't enough medium lasers, word is in such a way that critiques the current design.

So, let that be a warning to all. Some of you do an example job with reviews. Some do a so-so job. And yet others are lucky I've been accepting theres. But that will change. If you're posting reviews and find a lot of them not making it through, you know why.

Are you behind in reviewing designs? I recently posted three 35 ton mechs and they have not yet appeared...any idea why?

I am behind a little in TRO reviews. But I have been slowly going through them all. I should be caught up by the end of the week, I hope.

My comment was also aimed at Reviews of mech designs, not actual designs. As long as your mech is within weight limits, it is accepted, regardless of how munchy it is.

cain, the new things in the TRO are the mech files which can be used in HeavyMetal Pro. I'm doing the grunt work and entering the data so you folks won't have to. I am way too nice to you folks.

Oh, hope my reviews are good, always try and give a tactical useage of the mech. Or at least say this is what its good at, this is whats bad.

Oh and i only review mechs if i have used them, i have played with alot of them. I tend not to play an active role in the bar and grill so i try and make up for it by actually saying useful things.

I also resent reviews which critisise a mech just for its XL engine. On alot of smaller mechs XL's are a godsend and even a few assaults are better because of it.

I havent recieved a PM, does that mean ive been good?

XL engines are fine for lights and medium mech designs. But its a nono on brawler heavies and assaults.

Although I'm sure you know this already, it's just as easy to download those files off of the HMPro website; they've already done all of the work for us. It's nice of you to put them up, but it's not something that is not readily available at several other sites. Maybe you should just convert the custom 'mech designs into HMPro.

I don't really like 'em in any situation, at least for the I.S....but that's because I'm a level one tech junkie.

You can d/l all the files off of HMPro you'd like, but without the program those files are useless.

Obviously...but the same thing goes for the files posted here, so I'm not exactly certain what point you're trying to make.

You don't need the HMPrograms to see the files here...Mordel only enters them into HMPro to see if they are legal designs. Once he determines they are legal designs they get posted in the .php format like all the other mechs.

Some do have d/l'able HMPro files, but you don't need that program to see the mechs.

I'm not entering the mechs into HMP for the standard TRO designs. I'm simply using the ones that Rick provided and making them available here, just in case, for whatever reason, you want to download them.

Since I was entering them already, I figured I might as well save them and upload them for others to download. Only takes a few more seconds per design. I can live with that, for now.
