The Supercharger and TSM can be puit in the same mech right? so if i have a Bezerker 4/6 movement. 5/8 once at 9 on the heat scale. you than kick in the supercharger is that 100 tone ax carring monster going to run at you at a speed of 10? i have been playing that way since i made my Bezerker but i gave him a mace  . i just need to know im not cheating my friends out. they get rather pissy whene a 100 tone mech runs up at warp factor 10 and smashes them with 40 points of damage. I do so love to play Teeball friends mech .

it is legal.
the supercharger over loads the engine to get the speed boost, by passing the myomers that MASC and TSM enhances.

Engine Supercharger - This device increases the speed of a 'Mech exactly as with MASC, except that failure of a 2D6 roll requires one roll on the Determining Critical Hits Table. It can be combined with MASC, weighs 10% of the engine's weight, and takes up 1 slot, which can be located in any torso location on a 'Mech.
Doesn't say about TSM, but I don't see why extra power output should be incompatible. If you're fighting games with Level 3 mechs all is fair, right? Your opponents should look into the joys of weapons that increase your heat even more.

You can put a supercharger on a Mech with TSM, but only get a bonus for one. Masc however, you get an increase if you use both systems at once.

Why is this? MASC and TSM are very similar technology ... both are jusr variant myomers ... so why if MASC is compatible with a supercharger would TSM not be?

MASC and TSM are rather different. MASC is enhanced controlling circuitry. TSM is a different myomer compound. MASC creates a feedback loop in the signals sent to the myomers that increases signal response in normal myomers. Note, normal myomers, that's why you have a chance of catastophic myomer failure. The normal myomers aren't designed for such abuse. TSM is a change in the actual myomer fibers. At certain heat levels the new compound swells and can generate more force than a normal myomer. As a tougher myomer compound it isn't subject to such failure as MASC enhanced myomers are because the TSM myomers are designed for the heat and strain.

Fair enough, but I still don't see why TSM wouldn't work with a supercharger. One increases the output of the engine, meaning the amount of energy the engine can produce. The other increases the effectiveness of the myomer, regardless of the engine.

Wouldn't it make more sense than to increase the likelyhood of myomer failure when used in conjunction with a Supercharger. So, for each consecutive use you add a +1 to the roll needed.
For example, using MASC and a Supercharger together the first time would require a roll of 4+
A second use immediatly would result in 7+ (5 for the base MASC and +2 for the supercharge being used 2 consecutive turns)
A third consecutive use would require 10+ (7 for the base MASC and +3 for the supercharger being used 3 consecutive turns)

If you were using it in conjunction with a supercharger, since it would increase the speed at which the myomer circuitry was overheated/malfunctioned. Kinda like riding in a car with no coolant in the middle of a Nevada desert!
