Hehe. almost as funny as trying to use weapons form 1000+ years ago (weapons that if you had one would carry a value that would allow you to buy a new mech most likley)

Steelfang returns from a long mission to the Circinus to find the B&G in frenzied activity. He sees ol faces as well as new. Tapping one of the patrons on the shoulder, "What's going on?"
"Dead-Fish is missing, we're going underground to hunt for him."
"So when are you leaving?"
"Shortly"
Steelfang leaves the bar only to return several minutes later loaded out for a long-term spelunking trip.

How much does all this weigh? Especially that machine gun... I hope you can get someone to volunteer to be your assistant with that thing, to carry all that ammo. Assuming, of course, you can fit that thing down the hole. In tight spaces, you want a weapon that you can maneuver easily.
And at the risk of starting a debate on weapon calibers, why the 9mm? The Luger may be a good pistol, but that doesn't change the fact that the 9mm cartridge doesn't have much stopping power. I've noticed most other people, including myself, are carrying .45s or thereabouts.
Now if we were to get hyper-organized, we'd all carry weapons of the same caliber with compatible magazines, if not identical weapons, in case we get caught in a drawn out firefight. You know, like in Blackhawk Down. What?
Ok, I'll shut my yap and go back to snoring

Oh for GODS sake put away the "my penis is better than your penis" gear! NO ONE in their right mind would use weapons that are 1122+ YEARS OLD. Much in the same way if you have a gun from the age of columbus you would NOT use it for active duty! At most it is going to be in a climate controlled glass case where you LOOK at it and show it off. Get some useful gear and please stop with the antiques show!
ooc. Sorry for the eruption and the language its just getting really silly.

I did an Army course a few years back (My Infantry Section 2IC course), where we spent a week in the field. We were kept so busy, conducting attacks during the day, and digging into defensive positions and conducting dismounted patrols at night that I must of had only an hour and a half over the five days.
It got to the point that I went out on an 8hour patrol and only remember leaving and returning.
It sucked.
And, as for not sleeping before a battle... any soldier worth his salt will sleep whenever time permits, due to the fact that during a battle the enemy will likely do their damndest to keep you from sleeping again.

I agree. This is my personel equipment and it is second nature to grabe it for missions since it has been over a decade since i was in the DCMS. Yo, Joe and Sir Henry can you aquire this unit several cases of Sub-Machine Guns, laser pistols, and large caliber Hand Guns? I'll pay for the equipment myself. Any disagreement with this order? i figure the compact SMGs will be best down there and weight less then an assult rifle, and i also figure have two pistol types will allow flexability. just incase what we find is resistent to one or the other.
As far as I see it, we should have plenty of equipment that way. most of our secondary equipment does not require ammunition so we should be ok on that end.
Oh. one last thought.

Ok. Everyone fill out one of these or give me your Identa-Card with your bio and next of kin info. We need to know what your blood-type is, what your allergic to, and who to contact if things turn bad down there.

| Well the maschienengewher can be dissabled to 3 parts:Barrel,Action,And stock, and stored in a back pack(which i will drag be hind me if needed.)total weight unloaded is 18 pounds.
I prefer the 9mm. for 2 reasons.1, i am a purist dog.2 its weight.2 or 3 9mm mags equals 1 .45 mag.And i seriously doubt we will have to fight off 3000 pissed of somalians down there.Ill ditch the vision goggles for more pistol mags though. so now i have
Machinengewher 42 4 drums 75 rounds each
22 pounds all together
Tiger fatigues
Luger and 8 mags 8 rounds each.
