Yeah baby! The Boston Red Sox are the 2004 World Series Champions. 86 years of frustration and heartache are gone and Babe Ruth can kiss my white ass!

The series was still going on? Hmm didnt realize it. Baseball for me ended after Ichiros last at-bat.

I'm am a Mariners fan, and I'm happy for the BoSox and Their Fans... Now they can move on, and stop focusing on the so-called curse.... Now on to the Cubs.... 
And I Loathe the Yankees. I root for two teams: The Mariners and anyone playing against the Yankees

I gave up on the Mariners after the all-star break this year. Hopefully they will make it out of Spring training without losing my confidence next season.

There does seem to be a correlation there. I gave up on them after game 3 in the ALCS (as did EVERYONE in New England, don't lie) and they roared back. A record 8 straight post season victories. Incredible!

Thankfully I doubt this will be the case. There are 3 reasons why I think we will win some more in the coming years:
1) Ownership. These guys care about the team and more importantly they care about the fans. This is the first ownership I can remember actually being popular. And they were popular long before we won the world series.
2) The Farm System. This team went from having one of the worst systems in the league to being in the top 5 in a matter of 3 years. That's simply amazing and shows the dedication ownership has in winning; not only today, but years down the road.
3) Confidence. Confidence goes a long way. Now that we've shaken the Yankees off our back and this curse (which was a bunch of crap anyways), we can play baseball like it should be played.

Not true. I spoke to Horhiro after game 3 and chided him for giving up on them. I prophesized a return and win of the ALCS and a World Series victory. Go ahead, ask Horhiro.
Of course, technically I am not in New England, except in my heart. Which I keep in a jar on a shelf in my closet.

Admittedly I gave up on baseball about a month before the all star break, only to have my interest sparked when Ichiro was getting close.
But I have to agree with Sir Henery, Grats Bo Sox and thank god its not the yankees.

I use to like A-Rod. That was before he got national exposure in a big market. Now I see him for the fraud he is. A poor teammate and a poor excuse for a baseball player. Those legendary Yankees of years past are turning over in their graves. I hope the Yanks never win a World Series as long as he is with them!
