Everyone is enjoying their drinks and grey food when Mordel strolls out of his office, an expression of contemplation plastered on his face. He stops a few steps outside of his office and slowly raises his head.
"Ladies and Gentlemen. Fellow MechWarriors. Could I have your attention please?" He waits several seconds for the noise to die down before continuing.
"As many of you are aware, Dead-Fish has been absent for a very long time." Nods of agreement can be seen throughtout the establishment. "Today I found an article of clothing near a stack of boxes in the freezer. It was the chef's hat worn by Dead-Fish. It was then I felt a slight, cool breeze coming from behind the boxes. When I moved them, I found a hole barely large enough for a human to fit through." Looks of puzzlement and shock washed over the faces of the people in the bar & grill.
"I have decided to take a hunting party down this hole in an attempt to find Dead-Fish. It is my hope that whatever or whomever has taken him, has not killed him. "
Several long seconds pass before Mordel continues. "I am looking for volunteers to come with me. Are any of you willing to assist me? If so, bring clothing suitable for clod climates as well as any gear you may think appropriate. This is the only time I will be allowing firearms into the Bar and Grill. Go home, get some sleep as it may be the last you see in a while, and meet me back here by daybreak."
With that, Mordel walks back into the office and closes his door, dreading what may be discovered in the days or weeks to follow.
-----------------
OOC: I figured this will be a nice little sidebar to things. It also got me thinking about perhaps starting a MW3 campaign here. I figure anyone interested can create characters after guidelines are flushed out. Also, since there is potential for a lot of characters and side-plots, I would need GM assistance. Any volunteers?

Just say when and I will get out the tunnel rat gear and foray into the depths. I have been bored with the paperwork lately. After my recent promotion, I see very little action anymore.

--Vagabond watches sillently as mordel speaks. he then downs his cup of green tea and says--
I will go.
--with that he returns to his office and begins assembling his equipment and uses his couch to get some shut eye.--

Sure, what the heck. I can never turn down a chance to get shot at. I pack light, a pistol and a flak jacket.
(thinks about the hole...)
Maybe a flashlight and a couple of grenades.
ooc: I'm an extremely classic BTech and MW player, which is to say I still use the 1986 rules because they are what I'm most familiar with. I play numerous systems, though, and I played with MW3rdE once in high school, so at first I'll need to stay behind better players and learn the changes, but I'm always game for a game. Er...yeah.
PS
In other words, I'd love to play, but I probably can't GM.

The sound of a thousand power-gamers cry out, and are suddenly silenced as Joe Satriani's "The Extremist" starts blaring from nowhere. Very few eyes look toward the door, as the classic white trench-coat with Ghost Bear isngia clad Talen Tseng walks through, armed with his usual dual SUB-MGs, Katana, and a new addition to the arsenal, an elaborate naginata.
"Ughgghrrh" Talen grunts to Lurch, and Lurch responds with a groan that would make a hutt cringe (possibly a laugh of some sort, more likely to be indegestion.
Talen walks into the B&G and up to the bar, fully armed for the first time in years. Chihawk rolls his eyes and grabs a glass to pour some RC-Edge into for the warrior.
"Chihawk! My good man. How are you? AN R...ah. Good. You remembered." Chihawk puts the glass in front of him, then grabs his ear plugs, stuffs them in, and goes to cleaing glasses and preping his own gear.
"I Starscream, mighty warrior and leader of the decepti...ahem. Sorry...I Talen Tseng, leader of the mighty Official Order of the Forgotten Regulars, hereby pledge to help Chihawk and god Mordel himself in this quest that he is going toembark upon to retrieve our fallen comrade of Deaf-Dish...oh. Whats that? Sorry. Of the hopefully not-fallen comrade of Deaf-dish....oh...Yeah. You're right. Of the most likely not-fallen comrade Dead-Fish...(did I get it right? Okay, thanks). I shall place my guns, my blades, and my extensive knowledge of things I do not know about, as well as myself, under the command of those who own and rule this fine establishment of drinkery!!!"
Talen raises his glass as the crowd moans.
"Beer!" Talen shouts. More moans, and a few "beers" echo.
****
OOC: Sounds fun...it will also give me a chance to reclaim my suppreamecy over most of the people here, Mordel, Chihawk and Vagabond in exception of course. Anyways, I need to bash something in anyways! Count me the hell in!

*One-eye sizes up Talen*Nice armament i have always perferred SMGs to asasult weapons or laser pistols/rifles, though i do say i prefer the BattleAxe or Warhammer to Naginatas and Kantanas. I may be able to fit a suit of small power armor in the hole.Mordel, if i may, can i see the hole?

The "whole" is barely big enough to fit a human medium sized human through. Anybody here over 200 lbs is gonna be squeezing through for sure. And no, making the hole bigger wouldn't work as the hole in the wall matches the size of the tunnel leading in. Tight all the way.

| Well that sucks sweet monkey balls.*Goes out to hovercar and returns with an odd looking device.*I guessed that was the situation and rigged this. Its a auto grenade launcer taken from a destroyed MK1 Infiltrator.I rigged it so it fits onto my forearm.I've also modified the ammo to fire Chlorinated-Disphosene, a temporary paralysis agent.Un-lethal, we might bring back a few suspects.*Dumps out several breathing masks*Wear these to protect from the fumes. _________________ War is but a Clash of interests.
