This mech lost alot by giving up the AC 10. The large laser cant quite fill the gap, and the small laser is total useless. The armor is still good, so the mech can take a beating. The LRMs havent changed, so this mod is a threat at any range.
If I had the choice between this one and the original CN9, Id go with the original, thank you.

You've got to be kidding.
This 'mech has the original design beat by a long shot.
1) More armor. This makes up for the measly two points of damage per round it looses by switching from an AC/10 to a large laser.
2) More heat sinks. This 'mech can run, fire the large laser and both of it's medium lasers, and not run up an iota of heat. At long range, simply switch in the LRMs for the medium lasers, and you get the same result.
3) Less ammo. I'd say that at least half of all kills in 3025 come through ammo explosions. Loosing ammo is therefore always a good thing if you don't give up anything else to do it. _________________ "The enemy's gate is down."
