Like the Samuri and the Knights of the middle ages, if the Coordinator does not pay, he gets no army. loyalty to the crown stretches only so far. men are greedy.
in addition, the cost of materials, factory time, and labor must be payed by someone or the whole suffers. going into debt because of war is ok, providing that this debt does not build to large or build for to long. if it does, the whole economy of that nation is in jepordy. inflation is as much a killer as the biggest mech. just look at the former Soviet Union.

I agree with the above. The Coordinater is actually worried about the cost, otherwise why would he order the purchase of a 9 mil - 10 mil Akumas ? If he had all the money in the world, he would just keep burning em into Sunders and AS7-Ks.
