==Overview:==
Like its namesake, the Porcupine moves ponderously along, stinging anyone
foolish enough to attempt to attack it. The main weapons on the Porcupine are
12 LRM-5 launchers, supported by 6 tons of ammo. Backing this array up is a
trio of medium lasers.
At least superficially, it appears to have a marked resemblance to the
LAAF's SturmFuer tank; however, representatives from Blackwell have assured us
that this is a mere coincidence. We're not completely sure we believe them.

Multiple weapon systems will be good once you start taking hits, but I'm not sure it's worth going this far. Imagine a lance of these shooting at something. You'll be rolling dice for a long time.

Something that I noticed in the weapons tonnages is that there's an oddity with the LRM racks.
Take the LRM 10 as an example. As it's just two LRM 5s slapped together, it should be 2 crits and 4 tons. Instead, it's 2 crits and 5 tons. The LRM 15 is 3 and 7, and the LRM 10 is 4 and 10.
Not only do you make the launchers harder to silence, but you also get a weight savings by breaking up the launchers. The trade-off is that, for some reason, the same number of LRM 5s puts out more heat; however, for ground vehicles they don't experience heat from missiles or ballistics.
As such, I took a SturmFuer chassis and decided to experiment.

On the LRMs. It's always looked to me like it's one ton for every two missiles. 10 tons for an LRM 20, and 5 for a 10. The LRM 5 is 2 tons, and and you get the fifth missile free. The LRM 15 is 7 tons for the first 14 missiles, and again the last is free. It's the same with SRM racks: one ton per two missiles. IS Streak racks are a half ton extra (over standard SRMs) for every two missiles.

LRM 5s are the most effienct weight wise, but don't like to be rolling all those hit locations, plus using a bunch of LRM5s is never really something you see in canon designs.

It gives you a lot more chances to get a critical hit though. _________________ "The enemy's gate is down."

unless u intend to equip Artemis dozens of LRM5s cant go wrong....
(12x 2T) + Artemis = 24 + 12 :/
(3x 10T) + Artemis = 30+ 3
