That's only for certain tournaments, and from what I understand, for only a month or so...

Actually, The ban list says
"ADVANCED FORMAT LIST EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1
Forbidden Cards List Announcement
In February of this year, the Forbidden List for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME was activated for tournaments in Asia. Upper Deck Entertainment will now offer the choice to stores and tournament organizers to run tournaments using the Forbidden List in North America, Europe, Latin America, and Oceana.
However, we realize that some players and stores will not want to use a format with a Forbidden List. So we will be offering TWO formats.
Stores and Tournament Organizers will have the choice of which types of tournaments to run. Also, they are not locked into one format or the other. A store can run a tournament with the Forbidden List on one day and a tournament without the Forbidden List on the next day.
You, the player, can participate in any tournaments you want, no matter what the format. Both tournament formats will count toward the same player ranking. There will not be separate rankings for the two formats."
(quote is from http://www.upperdeckentertainment.com/yugioh/forb_advanced.aspx
Where I play. They run two turnys. one with, one without. In truth, I play better with the ban list. It's a much more challangeing game.

My boy killed me with his deck against my machine and Water decks. We were even with the warrior deck. He summoned Buster Blader, and I only have two dragons total in that deck.
I was pummeling him with my main deck. I had Blue Eyes and Sphinx Teleia on the field. He had Inferno Tempest just waiting...
But then Homework interupted....

Also got an English Dark Magician Girl today...it's the new ultra rare version and not the secret rare one, but oh well!!!!

Ah, but do you have the monsters that need to fuse to make it...
As for the DMG, IYR, there were those special packs of IOC where you got 3 IOC boosters, and a limited edition card that used to be a secret rare? This is from the same kind of thing, only the set for these is the next one coming out (Rise of Destiny)...how the place I purchased this at got them, I don't know (although it is the home of the 4th largest Yu Gi Oh league in the nation (which you wouldn't believe, as the store is just a hole in the wall, only about the size of the side room of my house that I'm sitting in right now), so that might have something to do with it)...
I do know that two of the limited editions coming with these packs are the DMG and Judgement of Anubis...
Ruger (BTW, did anyone else notice that both of the new Yu Gi Oh console games have super rares for the cards contained therein instead of the normal secret rares?)
